They arrived again in Jerusalem, and while Jesus was walking in the temple courts, the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders came to him. “By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave you authority to do this?” ~ Mark 11:27-28

On the road to Jerusalem, the disciples learned that faith can move mountains through prayer. But it comes at the price of forgiveness and forgiving others. It's what they longed to hear.

The teachings of Christ are offensive to those who follow their own desires. Today, we learn from the voice of Jesus as he teaches us about the two most important commandments...

[First] Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

Prayers for Tommy. I don’t know what happened to our prayer request page. Thought I would ask for pray here for my son Jason. He is an alcoholic and things have gotten really bad lately. He lashes out at me and his Mom. He can’t get any work . He is mad at God. Please pray for Jesus to come into his heart and heal him. Thanks

Praying for you Tommy, just know that you are not alone! Brandon, very well said I have some very deep resentments from my past that I am having a hard time letting go of. I don't even talk to most of them anymore, but the pain still hurts because I got my feelings hurt! I had a very close friend of mine tell me one time to "Buck up buttercup let it go and move on". But my ego and false pride tell me not yet. Why???

There's certainly people that have been in my life that were hard to forgive. I always thought forgiving people was dumb because (and this is the twisted up part) if I forgive them I more or less communicate that it was OK for their actions. I was playing sheriff and trying to force accountability onto others by holding onto resentment and anger to make sure they knew my wrath was near. Talk about exhausting!! It's not my job to force accountability onto someone else. They have to find it. I can indeed forgive and move on with my life. I can remove those who have wronged me from my life too. It is pretty nuts to purposely be around someone who keeps wronging me just so they can feel my anger for it just so they do it again and yikes bad terrible feedback loop there! God thank you for showing me to lean on you and just let the world be whatever it's meant to be. Thy will be done after all. Thank you for always being the greatest teacher of all Lord. I love you amen 🙏

As in yesterday’s devotional; it is written that by his strips we are healed!!! So because our God is the same yesterday, today and all tomorrow’s. Since our Prayer Wall is down I am going to post a prayer request here. As of late I have been having a lot of difficulty breathing. At first I thought it was asthma but have since determined that it is the COPD that has plaques me for over 30 years. It seems like every time that I try to get anything done my entire respiratory system wants to go in spasms sand close down. This is affecting not only my lungs but it is causing me to not be able to think clearly and make decisions.

I know the capacity to forgive myself of my addiction to porn which had plagued me for around 50 years was the reason that I finally overcame that nasty addiction. Two of the greatest aspects of God is love and forgiveness. He loved us enough to send His only begotten Son to suffer and die for us so that we can be forgiven of our sins. As Christians we to show the same type of LOVE and FORGIVENESS to all that we encounter, even our bitterest enemy. I challenge each of us to search ourselves and see if their is someone in our life that we feel that we cannot LOVE or cannot FORGIVE of things things they have done to us. Then think of the scriptures: Mark 12:30-31 and Matthew 6:14-15. These two passages have become so powerful in my life because of the way the explain our need to LOVE and FORGIVE.
