If you want to be super physically fit you have to put in work at the gym AND 24/7 around the clock with what you feed your body and how you rest it.
Spiritual fitness is no different. Our gym is our church or our place of worship. Not only does it require showing up and getting a good 'workout' in, but it requires 24/7 diet and rest. That diet is what we put into our minds. Filling our cup with the good of God in all things. Helping whomever we can help when God puts them in our path. Resting in prayer and meditation on God. That is what fulfills me throughout everyday. It is what allows me to see someone who may need an assist. Without this 24/7 surrender to God I would not have his vision to see those I could help. Thank you God for another day here and another moment in time to be helpful ๐

Each day Iโm called to submit to God, and then stay in submission to others. This means placing everyone I run across and their needs ahead of my own. This means rearranging my schedule and priorities as God places OPPORTUNITIES in my path each day to be of service. This means God being the center of my day and life, rather than wherever I can fit his work in. This means looking and listening for others who are in need. The more my days are filled with these opportunities, the bigger smile on my face. We get back what we put in. We reap what we sow. Thank you God for opening my eyes ๐๐ป

Everyday we strive to do what the Lord wishes. Not always easy, but needs to be our goal. Set your sights on serving the Lord, and work toward that goal. Open yourself to nudges from the Holy Spirit every day. Love you Jesus! ๐ค๐งก๐โค๏ธ

I will pray when I rise, and before I go to sleep, and then throughout the day. I will meditate on the word, love God and others and through the direction of the holy spirit serve others. Thank you Jesus for the privilege of ALL the above.

Upon awakening I recognize Jesus as my Lord and begin to meditate peacefully. Shower, coffee, and my timely devotions each and every day are priority!

131/365: Are You Doing The Work?
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. ~ Proverbs 6: 6-8
Men understand the value of work and what it takes to pay the bills. No matter the culture, we exchange work for money.
If we want to grow our faith life, we must also do the work and invest the time in the disciplines of faith. While we can't "work our way to heaven", we can engage in an active life of faith.
