Today’s page says that we given Devine Power for a Godly existence through KNOWLEDGE of him. What does it mean? In 1 Corinthians 15:1-10 we studied the Good News of Salvation: Christ died for our sins, rose on the 3rd Day and was seen by many that remained alive as eye witnesses to testify to these truths. Such is God’s love for us! The Good News indeed… for HE is risen. That is to testify that we receive Godly power through knowledge given in His Living Word, the Bible. Know this and renew our recognition of this fundamental Christian Truth. May God Bless us to awaken again in faith to this Holy Message.

Before I read today's Kickstart, I was reading from 2 Chronicles 17 this morning. Verse 6 stood out to me. Referring to Jehosaphat it says, "And his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord." It occurred to me that I don't always take delight in the Lord. Yet today's reading from Psalm 37 promises to give us the desires of our heart if we take delight in the Lord. How often do we settle for less than what God has to offer?

I believe we all have these things that creep up our minds throughout the day that we need to do and meet suspenses. I myself, have this issue even when I’m praying asking the Lord for his guidance, grace and mercy. Sometimes, I get side track with my prayers because these thoughts creep in and have to refocus to finish my prayers. Glad to hear I’m not alone. Have a blessed day brothers 🙏🙏🙏.

I’ve found that during my morning readings, while asking God for my guidance for the day, and for strength to carry out His will, thoughts will creep in… Some are distractions of things I have no control over, but some are things that I have put off and need accomplished ie taxes, a friend I haven’t called, a chore I’ve put off. These “things” are clearly clouding my peace or they wouldn’t enter my mind. I believe this is one way God speaks to what I’m to do that day, and once I acknowledge I will take care of it as part of that day, those thoughts stop clouding my concentration. The other thoughts which are out of my control ie other people, a shaky deal, relationships I can pray for the other people or situation and they too will slip away as I can take comfort God is in control. Amen 🙏🏻

Once I learned to place him first, my life fell into place. Career, relationships, personal health. He provides all if you trust in him and give him all the glory! King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
109/365: What Do You Seek?
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. ~ 2 Peter 1: 3
What portion of your work or idle time is spent trying to get more of something? More money, more food, more status, more approval?
Chasing earthly things is not wrong, but it can leave you empty. God is clear about wanting our focus to be on Him, first. Everything else should be second.
GO DEEPER: Psalm 37: 3-9
NEXT STEP: Honor Him first today with your first pursuit. He will guide your second pursuit.
