This devotion topic comes in a timely fashion as I have been struggling with what Godly leadership looks like in my workplace. I will lift that struggle up to Him and seek Him for counsel. He will show me the way of what Godly leadership looks like. Amen.

I have to share a dream I had this morning. It was about the Lord Jesus Christs return. Time is drawing near, but moreso accelerated with the advancement of AI. As it came inescapably, I found my daughter who was lost in corn stalks in an open field. She was trying to run with everyone else, but I knew there was absolutely no where to go. I held her hand, held her, closed our eyes and prayed to Jesus, I had peace. There was no pain, then I woke. In tears I prayed to the Lord God. I opened my bible and this app and see in 1 Peter 5 the highlighted words, "feed the flock of God which is among you,...be of a ready mind", "when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory tht fadeth not away". I have deepened my walk, the time is not known. I encourage you to take care of who God sends you today and everyday, on judgement when he will say why didn't u take care of who I sent you.

God will reveal Himself to those who seek Him. It took several rock bottoms and hopelessness for me to surrender. My thoughts are how should I get people to be open enough to seek God? It took a very lot for me, and I already believed in God all my life even. Different people have different reasons and rock bottoms.
Example, prayer, support, love, sharing are what comes to mind. There's also hope. Hope is an strong example of how men can find God.
I continue to hope for my brothers and my family, who don't have any idea of the truth. They will, as God is faithful.
Praise be to our God of strength and hope.

My Marines will recognize this 😁 I still remember this from around 20 years ago and still think about how they apply in life today. Now I think about God and Jesus in regards to them. How can I use the leadership traits that were deeply ingrained in me to lead men to God and live a good Christian life. I know first I must use these traits and be an example. Without setting an example of what to do, how can anyone follow me. The crazy thing is just by living a proper clean life and being dedicated to God it acts like a magnet attracting those curious or those struggling... especially those struggling. I know a couple of years ago I was riding the struggle bus and it was about to go off of a cliff. And it kind of did. I was like a badly injured occupant crying out for help unable to really move at first. A brother answered the call and pull me to safety. Then showed me the way, God's way that would finally after so many years of wanting fill me up with blood of Christ. Help me to always be ready to go and save a brother God. Help me to be fearless in my pursuit of You and fearless about my faith in You. I love you God amen 🙏

Jesus said He’ll make us “fishers of men”… I can’t think of any clearer or simpler instructions as to what His plan for us is, or what our purpose is while here in this life. I read somewhere “what is my purpose” is the most pondered question. Is there any question, then, why our suicide rates climb in relation to the number of souls still swimming rather than in the life boat? We’re not fish. Ever thought of the metaphor like that? Me either, until just now. If I look out from my place of safety, sureness, and peace to see people still trying to stay afloat, treading water, am I to sit here and watch? Once we make it to the boat, we had best focus on throwing out life preservers in the form of selfless acts, kind words, positive reinforcement, Grace when wronged, scripture, and most powerful of all, our raw and honest testimonies. Yes, it’s their own fault if they fail to grab ahold… But it’s our fault if there’s nothing there for them to grab ahold to. God, help me to be a fisher of men today, amen 🙏🏻

We each need to do what we can to bring others to the Lord. We can’t get the message to everyone, but we can try one kind word and smile at a time. Don’t beat them over the head with the Bible, just share the love of Jesus. Love you Jesus! 💜💚🤎💙

I remember early sobriety, being on fire for the Lord and wanting to save the world and every addict in it. God blessed me with a good wife and 2 amazing children, a house and a nice chunk of land…we filled it with animals, chickens and goats, and a ton of stray cats…then this amazing job that I get to do from home. But it seemed the more he blessed me with the busier I got and the less I could help others-but the job he blessed me with allows me to reach 100 kids a day with his smile, his love, his way…I owe everything I have to Him…I have all my heart desires and will spend all the days he gives me on this earth paying it forward best I can! I am a living miracle as I should have been dead or behind bars on too many occasions to count, bc I was an addict of the worst sort! He can change your life if you let him, then you can change the lives of everyone around you! Thank you Jesus! I don’t deserve your favor but I am eternally thankful for it!!! Have faith brothers and wait for God to act!!

I heard a quote yesterday that goes like this “ spend 16 minutes per per day preparing for a vocation that in a year you would be more of a expert in that vocation than 97% of the other people in the field.” This addd up to 100 hours in a year. Though I encourage each of us to spend much more time than that on studying God’s word, seeking Him in prayer, meditating on Him while listen for His voice to speak to us and going out into the world to serve His people. I actually feel that I owe Him 6 seconds out of every minute He gives my life increase, 6 minutes per hour, 2.4 hours per day or 36.5 days out of each year. If we tithe the increase of time the Lord gives us think of where our problems would be and where we would be as leaders of Gods people.
104/365: Follow the Leaders and Lead the Followers
Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve. ~ 1 Peter 5: 2
Jesus went to the cross to redeem us. He gave us hope and he gave us a challenge -- to share His hope.
We are on the path toward God but not everyone is at the same mile marker. Jesus leads us and we follow - then we lead so others can follow.
GO DEEPER: Psalm 37: 3-7
NEXT STEP: Commit your gifts and leadership to do what Jesus asks of you. One step at a time.
