...and remember brothers, to listen and look for for answers to our prayers. It may not be what we expect or in our expected time frame - but if we're noticing God's work in this world, we'll find that He is working through us all to live in love and honor to Him and each other.
We don't need worship services or Bible studies to learn how to pray - just do it and have faith!

I pray continually through the day. Sometimes long, sometimes short micro prayers. The main thing to me is to spend time in prayer with my Lord, or giving thanks or concerns to Him. Love you Jesus! 🧡💛💙❤️

I myself, usually say the same prayers every morning. And it is usually for me. Not that I do not pray for others but, I need to start to including others more into my prayers. I referee sports and most of the time before the game begins, I say a prayers for our officiating team to give our best, the players to compete hard with little to no injuries, the coaches to coach their team and respect our decisions and last, the spectators enjoy the game with good behavior. However, as we know, it is not always the case. Prayer is a powerful thing for us to reach out to Jesus when we are in need for his blessings and just to say thank you. Thank you Jesus for all your blessings. I Love you Jesus. Have a blessed day brothers.

A fantastic illustration of this is in the movie “War Room.” A chair in a closet is the prayer space. A space for just you and God and no distractions. I used to think praying during my commute was good, and it was better than not praying until I watched that movie. Oh boy howdy, did things change after that. Driving I could not entirely focus on my time with God. But in a closed space, quiet with the God of the Universe, alone together, prayer becomes something you’ve never experienced before.

Sometime my prayers seem so… robotic. It feels like a speech. I feel like I’m saying the same things every time I pray. Sometimes it doesn’t feel those ways.

Most of us have a best friend that we know the we can always count on and the we love to hang out with as much as possible. Think of Christ as your totally best friend, a friend that is right there to hang out with and talk to all day and all night. Think of Christ as that one friend that you can tell everything to even if it is something bad that we have done. He is just that for us. He was willing to be arrested, mocked, beaten, spit upon, have His hair and bread pulled out (which as a Nazarine was a big issue),made to carry His own cross, then be nailed to it and crucified so that we could have the chance to be saved from our sins and spend time with Him. I have time in each morning that I can spend with Him, since I am normally the first one out of bed in the morning. However I find my best days are the ones that no matter what I am doing my mind is always in prayer with Him or singing praise and worship songs to Him through every moment of the day. It is on those days that I find I am the most productive during the day, that I figure out solutions to problems, that I feel the least pain and even get the best nights sleep as I fall asleep taking to my best friend.

I encourage all of you to pray as much as you can. Prayer is so incredibly powerful. It’s a gift from God that we can go to Him and cast everything at his feet. The Lord has been showing me more and more how important prayer is. Don’t just do devotions, devote time to Him. He was tortured and killed for you, He loves you, spend time with Him.

This was a great reminder to pray and pray often. I know I can say I get distracted easily and when I begin to pray I feel my mind wander, but Lord Jesus please keep me in line with you so that way when I think of you I can say a quick prayer for others!

I just heard an interesting point on this the other day. The teacher was saying how he found it to be important to have a place in the house where he prayed. whether it be a specific chair or a corner of a room. Having a consistent place to go to he found that after a while when he went there he'd naturally be ready for prayer. Almost as if the cares and distractions of this world would disappear so that he would be clear minded in his prayers. I just thought this was an interesting point on prayer life.

Slowly my prayers have shifted to genuinely praying for others around me near and far, rather than simply for myself. As this has happened, I’m led to realize ways I can potentially help those I’m praying for… This, is an answered prayer in my opinion. We are called to wash each others feet. To be reminded we are no better, or worse, than those around us regardless of status. Praying for others, humbles us, and reminds us of our place we are all called to be, selfless servants. Today, as I dress up for my leadership role, I pray for humility and constant reminding that I am to be a servant leader… No more, no less. Amen 🙏🏻

My biggest fault as a man of God…I simply don’t pray enough. I continue to let pure laziness and excuses dominate my prayer practices.
111/365: The Root of Faith
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. ~Epehsians 6:18
Prayer is an essential weapon in the warfare against evil. To make any significant progress in your faith life, it must be rooted in prayer.
Prayer is talking to God, listening to God, and reflecting on God's word. Be mindful to pray for others as much or more than you pray for yourself.
