These little lies whispered into your ear by evil are designed to drive a wedge between God and you. Refuse to hear it.

Remember: God restores while evil condemns. Only the grace of God through Jesus Christ can rebuild your motor and get you running again.

God only sees you as the perfect machine he designed. He has empowered you to deliver His message of hope to the people around you. My friend, you are one cool restoration project thanks to Jesus Christ. Today is a new day.

I was like Ethan I’m so many ways when I was young. I didn’t know how to handle things and I was always blaming others. I even had a therapist tell me my problem was not knowing how to handle all the crap in my life. This continued until I decided to take responsibility. I had to step up and things changed drastically. God has blessed me greatly since I started following Him. I still struggle with things from time to time but it’s not like before. I have Christian friends who actually care and will help when needed. This group is a big help too. I learn a lot from reading the posts here and I know you all can feel the prayers like I do. I cannot express just how critical this little fact was to my understanding of how God works… You are exactly where you are suppose to be, exactly as you are suppose to be, exactly when you are suppose to be here. I had this false sense of needing to get some where other than I am to be right or ready for God’s love. God will meet us exactly where we are, and help us get where we are going. We are to do the same for others. We aren’t to tell ourselves when they stop this or start that we’ll embrace them. We are to just love. Sometimes it is loving from afar, when it comes to drugs and alcohol etc, but all they should feel from us is love, and forgiveness. We are all second Chancers to one degree or another, and we are called to be beacons for all those who eventually seek their second chances… or seventy seventh chance. Let’s leave the judging and finger pointing to the non believers, and live an example of love, amen 🙏🏻

Remember this guys. No matter what you do God through the saving work of his son Jesus has saved you from all sin you will commit in your life. He has saved you even from the backsliding you will do in the future. He knows your innermost working. His blood is sufficient for you. What does this mean? Does this mean then that we live in the flesh? Far from it. It means we live in the boldness of the knowledge that we are washed in his blood a new creation made in His way. Yes we will struggle to our last breath to walk his path it is through these struggles that our race is won. So live without fear live in the Joy that comes from having your sins forgiven. Spread the knowledge of Christs love and forgiveness to those around you. The spirit will continue to work in you! Trust in Him and make him Lord in your life. He will take care of the rest.

That voice is the voice of the devil. He wants us to doubt ourselves and pull us away from God. We can rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus Christ. Stay focused on our Lord and Savior. Amen 🙏

What does that voice, that thought imspire? Is it fear, anger, hate? Is it compassion, empathy, love? I know if it's fear or anger or hate it is not from God. It's is from worldy training or worse the devil himself. I am far from perfect in my walk with God. I still succumb to fear and anger. The quick speed of them to give me a sense of agency over something. They don't really give me any more control over anything. I have to remind myself when they arise of what am I attempting to take control of? Is it truly something I can control? Or am I trying to impose my will upon others? God doesn't want me to do that. The only exception would be for literal survival and survival of those close to me. I must turn to God and ask Him to break through the lies of anger to show me empathy instead. So that I can understand more than be understood. God be my guide today and let me only hear your voice and your commands. Then let me follow through on them. I love you God amen 🙏

The key to the message is PRAYER. We have to go to the father in prayer when the enemy is attacking us. Ask God for protection and to keep the Armor Of God on at all times. Stay sharp in the word because this is the Sword and a very important part of the armor. The point I'm trying to make here is that being a Christian is not easy and the devil will be attacking us at every opportunity, but I Thank God for this, it means I must be doing something right. But prayer is our #1 weapon against the enemy because when you pray your talking to the most powerful weapon of all Our Lord And Savior.

it amazes me how Jesus uses me/us as a channel for his peace and love. I have been blessed with a second, third chance at life. As long as I don't Worry about materialistic things; which has always been a big problem for me. I have stories of how I continue to fight for a life filled with peace and love. I have been blessed with a life that has daily struggles That I can see as blessings not as I'm not good enough. Jesus uses me to inspire others to continue to fight. I've always had Jesus trying to show me "The Way", We are used as vessels he uses us to help others battling with life. to show us how helping others is the only way to live a happy life. I used to be so disappointed with how my life turned out. but now I see how my life is filled with so many blessings not curses. Jesus shows me that he is making me stronger by giving me a life that I can help others with. it's how I look at life, as a chance to help others. I always thought that I have been treated unfair. That life is so unfair, he shows me that I am strong enough with him in my life to be a vessel. to show others how different daily struggles, are away of strength that I thought were unfair, he has shown me that my story can help others with a chance at life. "It's a blessing, not a curse!" We all have our stories in life, some times I think that life is so unfair to me. I can look at my life with gratitude today. He shows me that my life is filled with so many blessings; it's all about how I look at it.

I’m in that place that is sometimes so hard. I’ve been here before. As soon as you turn to God and really began to walk with him the devil really seems to be attracted to you. It’s like he ask you dig a hole so grab a shovel and are constantly reach up for the Gods help and he pulls you out and then you find your self back to digging again. I have beat this battle before but fell back in the hole in 2020. I pray all of us who are this place that we would just bury that shovel and never look back. It’s hard I know. Lord be with me and my Brothers today. Way our walk be pleasing to you today. Amen

That you are our protection and safe refuge. I want to focus on the good again and tell the enemy to take a hike. I can’t do any of that without your help! Infuse me with your spirit! Strengthen me deep inside by your spirit. Take up residence in my heart once again, mine and my wife’s heart. We need a physical manifestation of your love for us…turn your face to shine on us once again and return to us the joy of your salvation! Restore and heal our union Father and start to repair the relationship between my wife and me and please touch her inner ear, touch it and heal her Jesus like you did in all those bible stories! Whom have we in heaven but you Lord! Forgive me for turning aside from the narrow path in search of relief, forgive me for my idols of comfort and control. I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed! Help my family to once again choose to believe in your goodness again this day!! Amen

Whew. These last few weeks have been rough. My beautiful wife, suffering from this debilitating inner ear disease, isn’t the same woman she was, she has always been the better of us, kind, generous, thoughtful and always so full of hope…now she is fearful, bitter, angry, and often lashes out at me for, well, nothing, nothing I’ve done wrong…just trying to help, working my full time job and doing all I’ve always done…taking care of the yard and many many animals, but also picking up the slack with the house, the laundry, dishes, supper, the kids and I’m burning out, exhausted and being an ex-addict, constant exhaustion is not a good place to be…I’ve started doubting his goodness and love for me, for her…find myself asking why me, why her,why us Lord? Focusing on my faults and believing I deserve this punishment for some past sins of which there are plenty…playing right into the lies of the enemy, have cried myself to sleep a number of nights feeling all Hope slip away, the life we once enjoyed nowhere to be found as all joy seems distant. So hard to choose joy lately, hard to continuously fight off the lies and flaming arrows of the evil one. Father I want to believe again that we are loved and desired and pursued by you.

Joshua 24 says, "choose for yourself this day whom you will serve." I used to think I was serving myself, getting my slice of life and I deserved the pleasures I sought. But then I realized I wasn't serving myself but I was a slave to evil and selfishness. I was ashamed and guilty and in a loop of destructive behaviors. Then I surrendered everything to Christ, I mean everything. I was so broken but He restored me. He took away the guilt and shame. Today and everyday, often every hour I remind myself to submit myself, my thought patterns, to Christ. We will submit to something so I choose to submit to Christ.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. KJV. Which master are you going to serve today? Satan the author of everything evil: doubt, shame, fear, depression, hopeless, deception, lies, addictions, anger, strife, hate, bitterness, bondage, death, sickness just to name a few. The other choice is God the author of everything good: love, peace, joy, happiness, hope, life, freedom, forgiveness, truth the great physician who we call on at anytime, life to name a very small portion of His offerings to us. I know which one I choose.

Elliott, thank you for sharing again. Similar to the recent devotion we read, Satan will lie to us and ask us, Did God really tell you that? Yes, our awesome God is a God of repair, if we simply trust. Similar to you, I had to lose everything in order to be rebuilt and reborn. My “physical “ condition is not the same as yours, however, I have struggled in similar ways. This daily devotion was revealed to me. Seek and you will find. Starting at a very young age, I was told I had no worth. It was not until I was in my 20’s that I found out different. That God loves us, and will put people in our path to remind us. God created us to share that message. Now, as I approach 70, I realize how short our time on this earth really is. Everyday we need to be ready, and thankful for everything we have. This devotion reminds me to be diligent and disciplined about prayer daily. Thank you for the other men who share their journey on this devotion.

I no longer want to go along with the lies of the devil, telling me I am not worthy, not good enough, to get even with so and such, to take advantage of others, to manipulate the system. For a long time I have justified rationalized and generalized the bad things that I've done. With excuses and blaming, I sold my soul to get ahead, to burry what I viewed as competition, the hustling, the little inklings over on others. I stepped on many toes, burnt many bridges, lied, cheated, and stole while satan laughing spreads his wings. Jesus hung out with the misfits, the sinners, gave His life for the remission of sins. Giving us a chance to repent and be renewed, to be born again. I only had to humble myself, surrender, and seek truth. God's love, grace, and mercy has freed my heart from prideful greed, from fearful dishonesty, from my sense of entitlement that the world owes me. My self-pitty, that I was delt a bad hand in life, that crippled my good intentions to the point of failure... is now gone. I was my own worst enemy. God forgave me, revealed some deep truths, and instilled a faith within my soul that today I trust. Being broken all my life, I am now repaired, and the bill is paid in full ! I am far from perfect and sin every day, but the desire to understand and do God's will is here. The more I seek, the more is revealed. I enter through the narrow gate today simply because I choose to, I now want to. God truly has saved me from myself, as well as from the grips of evil.
