It’s awesome when God uses us to help others. In some cases we may never even know how much we’ve helped. Sometimes the little things can make a huge difference.

God is amazing how he works and the more evidence I finally see the deeper my walk gets. With what little I know, even now, God has been using me as a lighthouse. This week is the 3rd consecutive week where my family is having Bible Study and prayer together. I did not realize that my family knew so little about scripture and praying. lovingly and patiently I am teaching them. They are so excited and heartfelt I feel like Paul, wanting nothing but them to be fruitful. God you deserve all the glory.

I always tell my kids to let their light shine bright. It’s time I start letting my light shine bright. Lord remove any mountain that may be blocking my light from shinning bright. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN

I need to witness more in order for my light to shine. I need to practice what I believe in because I believe that will be the spark that will help lead those around me in the right direction, even myself.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. KJV 2 Timothy 4:2. Yes this was speaking to the preacher Timothy but everyone of us need to be ready at all times the share the Gospel and the testimony of our lives with anybody that wants to hear. As a Christian we are God’s light in this dark and lost world. This is especially true as we are in a time when things are so confusing and Satan has warped the minds of so many that claim to be Christian but embrace teachings that are contrary to God’s Word. We need to be able to share what God has brought us through and show where he has brought us to in our life. By sharing God’s Word and His Actions in our life we share His Light and Love out to the world. We need to be ready and able to do this every moment of every day. All of us don’t have to be ministers but we are called to be witnesses of Christ.

I'd like to share a blessing. Our autistic son works at a local hardware store. Yesterday, he received a glowing review from a customer. Matt (our son) received a recognition award from his manager for his selfless attention to helping his customers. As his parents, we are filled with joy that Matt's attitude and work ethic is a shining light for so many to see. Praise Jesus!

I think most of us at some point(s) in our lives were like battered ships, drifting around, maybe even close to sinking. No direction, no real purpose, and little joy if any. Surrounded by my kids, loved ones and friends, somehow I could not feel joy… I had a God sized hole in my ship, and was seeking people and things to try filling it, and each day I sunk deeper. So then I sought substances to distract myself from the hole itself. In complete defeat and surrender, I finally called out an SOS, and a sponsor in 12 step program was there to shine his light for me. To help me get to work filling my God sized and shaped hole with the only thing that ever could have. To tie his boat to mine, and tug my sorry butt to safety. I’ve found my true purpose in life now, what I believe to be all of our true purpose in life, to be a lighthouse for those who are still sinking. To be willing to leave the comfort and safety of our shores, and travel to them when they call to us. To lend a hand anytime God places one in our path. To make it my purpose each morning to surrender to His will, which will always provide me someone in need if I’m earnestly searching that day. God, help me today to stay out of myself, and focus on those around me, Amen 🙏🏻

1 Peter 3:15 should be memorized and become part of each of us. We walk with Jesus and make Him Lord of our lives and then that relationship with Him should always be on display. We don’t have to flaunt it, only live each day shining His light into the darkness around us. People will come and ask what is our secret when we can be calm in the middle of a storm, when we can have joy and peace when everything is turned upside down in our lives. Then we become that lighthouse. Then we have the opportunity to tell others the reason for the hope that is in us. Then we have the privilege of introducing them to Jesus. When the world looks at us, do they see Jesus? Shine His light, my brothers. We each are His lighthouse in our world.

We each have the light of Christ in us. Let each of us shine that light in the dark areas around us or in our lives. Evil shuns the light so shine bright. Love you Jesus! ❤️🧡💚🤍

Yes indeed, todays message hits at that deep level of selfishness that rears its ugly head in me quite often…the “…but what about me Lord?” This message says the sh*tstorm around me is there for me to shine a light through, the darkest storm is the perfect place for the light of Jesus to shine! Helps me realize, “oh yeah, that’s why” thank you Jesus for the reminders, thank you for not leaving me to sit in such a small, shallow story where everything is all about me! Who shall I shine your light upon today Lord? Point me in the right direction Holy Spirit and let’s get to it!! God bless you men! Let the ruler of the air find it a tad harder to breathe and see today bc of our actions on behalf of our God!

This was a hard one today. Funny how the piercing starts small until you need to let it go deeper. Lighthouses are perfect example on how we should live our lives. I needed this today. Stop be a Doubting Thomas, Lord give me the strength!

prayers for you and your spouse Christopher. I know it is really hard to do in those kinds of times but remember live only in the moment now with God in your heart above EVERYTHING else so you may have that lighthouse guiding you in dark rough seas brother.
I have to say it feels very good to be doing my readings every morning to not simply check the box I did them but to read them with intent. intent to share and discuss them. i forgot how powerful it is to start the day that way. I don't know why I got lazy with them. I kept reading them but just not the same way. more like crank through and ok done. those months felt kind of yucky like I was in a depressed sort of state. I examined what the heck did I change. it was that. I want to be a lighthouse. I want to advance my career not for glory but to make a real meaningful impact for my teammates. I want to use my full potential. God help me to execute today on realizing these things for YOU. we'll get to tomorrow, tomorrow. thank you God I love you! amen 🙌

@chris, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. This was the first scripture that I memorized and it’s a scripture that I try to apply to my daily life. The light that is in us is Jesus ,who is LOVE, and when we let our wives, family, friends, and colleagues see our Light , God is glorified. Let your wife see the Light in you so that God will be glorified in your marriage. Praying for you my brother!

This really hot one to me this morning. I’m having a tough morning not knowing where my marriage is heading. Frustrated with everything life is throwing at me right at the moment. And then this devotional got me where it need to. Try’s in the lord out God and he will enlighten me and show me the way. God is so good even when we feel her isn’t. His words and our path that he chose for us is righteous.
20/365: You Are God's Lighthouse
But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. ~ 1 Peter 3:15
We spread our light like a lighthouse to wayward souls on the sea of life. We must stand tall, steadfast, and guide our family, friends, and community to a safe passage.
Remember... a lighthouse is constructed where the conditions around it are the darkest and most dangerous.
His light will shine through you, attracting others to a hope they've been seeking in their dark moments.
GO DEEPER: Matthew 5: 13-16
NEXT STEP: To keep your light burning, stay in God's word daily. Pray for the people God has placed in your spirit - right now.
