Oh and Ladd about the up before 7:00 thing there are times that I sleep until almost 10:00 but most the time it is between 5:00-6:00. I just let my body tell me when to get up and when to sleep. Even if I didn’t get to bed until 2:00-3:00 a.m. Yeah I might be nuts part that’s part of the fun of life. Plus it is some of the only quite time I get in the morning before everybody else wakes up and interrupts my quite time with God.🤪😄🤪😆😝😆😆

Ladd, you make me smile. Thank you for your inspiration and your sense of humor, even in the face of your own struggles. We need both to fight the good fight. I do, anyway... God bless you. Keep the faith!!

Boyce Moses I agree with you 100%. I live in constant nerve pain from an injury twenty years ago. My wife & I pray wondering why God won't take that away from me. I have no idea why this is continuing to plague me but I need to trust him and realize I am blessed to have been saved from death. There are grandchildren I never would have known had God not saved me from that horrible wreck. Thank you guys for inspiration.

Your will today God, not mine. Give me the ultimate peace in knowing it is you who are in control of all thing, not me. Give me your ultimate strength and courage today, to face and walk thru whatever challenge or opportunity you place in front of me today. God, YOU are in charge, YOU have the plan, YOU know my path, YOU are my light in the darkness, YOU are my biggest fan. I trust in you today Lord, Amen 🙏🏻

God has been working in my life and although the journey is difficult at times I know the destination will be beautiful. It is hard to patiently wait for God to fulfill his plan but I know his plan is perfect. Troubles and hardship have found their way to me in the past year but I do put my trust in God that he will deliver and sees the result before I can even comprehend his marvelous grace.

As we think about how “rough” we have it, there are people all over the world that would consider themselves blessed to have our life. Look at your many blessings and consider yourself lucky, life could be much harder. I thank every day for the life I have. Love you Jesus! 🤎💙🤍❤️

Be still and know that I am God…the hardest thing to ask of me, being still is not and was not ever part of who I am…but in those rare moments of stillness: I can hear God clearly. God please help me find moments of quiet and still more often than I currently do that I might hear your voice directing my path! In Jesus name…Amen

I think of Buffalo when I read this text. Through all the trials and adversities they’ve faced recently, they faced them head on with grit, determination, willpower and faith. They never one time gave in or gave up, but stayed steadfast in the fight. If they got knocked down, they didn’t quit, but picked themselves up and marched forward. They fought the fight. They finished the race. They are victorious. Praise God!!

As I set here in the early morning of this Sunday after having read this devotion, I reflect back over all the times that I should have stopped and listened in my life and not tried to react so quickly. As I reflect back on these times I look at how much I failed during those times causing myself and others extra stress or troubles. How many times I became depressed because things did not go the way that I thought they should have. Over the years I have asked God many times to increase my patience so that I would stop and listen to His direction better. As my patience has increased I learned to listen to Gods still small voice regarding those things going on around me. Doing this has reduced my depression, anxiety, fear and my stress about those things that I can change and should really let God handle as I stay back and watch. So yes as today’s devotion said let us stop and listen to God’s direction before jumping into action. Stopping to listen to God’s still small voice can open our eyes to clearly see, our ears to clearly hear, our minds to clearly think and our hearts to clearly follow the way that God wants us to go.
8/365: Think Before You Act
It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young. Let him sit alone in silence, for the Lord has laid it on him. Let him bury his face in the dust— there may yet be hope. Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace. ~ Lamentations 3: 27-30
Count your blessings when hardship strikes. Don't run from adversity - face it. There are many men who would instantly exchange their trouble for your problems.
In time, you will look back and realize this ordeal wasn't as bad as you believed it to be at this moment.
GO DEEPER: Psalm 46: 1-11
NEXT STEP: Pull back, sit still, be quiet. Listen. God knows your trouble. He knows your heart. What is He saying to you?
