I am struggling heavily with this. My wife and are going through Christian based marriage counseling and I have learned a lot about our temperaments. I am still madly in love with her but we seem like different people now. I was told to let go and put my trust in the lord but I'm struggling to do so.

My heart delights reading the wisdom of the room. Thank you all brothers for sharing and helping to build the body of Christ. The major battle is a battle of the mind. From the moment I wake I know I need to be ready and willing. Today was a wonderful reminder to surrender and no matter what role I want in the body God knows me perfectly. Help me submit to you daily Lord. Your will is perfect as you are.

This was a timely message. I need to be in the now. Allow the Holy Spirit to fill me now, and walk with Jesus who is beside me now. 🙏🏼

I start every morning off with the Live Bold Kickstart and my morning prayer. My morning prayer is normally based on the Lord’s Prayer and though I do ask that God’s be done in Earth I also ask that God’s will be done in me, as it is in Heaven. Asking Him to let His fully take over my heart, mind, spirit and soul completely. This helps sit the tone for my entire day. I also ask that He search me each and reveal to me any sins that I might have hidden and to reveal anything I am or am not doing that could gender my walk with Him. Asking Him to show me these things so I may know, asking His forgiveness for them and then asking Him to strengthen me and help me to do better in these areas. Then I ask Him to be more forgiving of those I feel might have slighted me in some way and to also forgive myself of my shortcomings. As I have started doing this since the start of of of 2022 I have found that the ever present mild depression that had enveloped me since my youth has totally lifted as has the anxiety that accompanied it. My anger has decreased as well and because of that my wife, our son and I are spending more time together. Him each day to search you and show you where you need to improve then act upon those areas that he shows you. Aim the start of each day more at the spiritual rather than concerning on the physical day and I will assure you that how your day goes will improve.

I am currently on break from work-2 weeks off for Christmas-I suck at unstructured time! Trying to show mercy to myself by allowing to sleep in bc I wake at 4:30 daily but waking at 7 and the kids and wife are right behind and boom there goes quiet time and my day is usually toast so I’m done with sleeping in starting tomorrow! God is more important!

Let each of us figure our plans are second and God’s plan for us are first. Surrender to God’s plan for your life and start each day with a meaningful prayer with Him. Love you Jesus! 🤍💚💜💙

Great wisdom in today’s message. “Open your hands and give your future to God. Listen to His spirit through prayer about living each day pointed where He is leading.” Notice the word prayer? That is the attitude we must have to start every day. When I forget that and charge into my day, soon I realize I am all alone and Jesus is not with me. I charge into my day according to my plans and then, later in the day, I hear the voice, “How’s that working for you?” The habit of beginning each day with Christ by prayer is to me the most important habit we could have. Everything else that occurs in the day is influenced by that habit, possibly even controlled by that relationship the habit reflects - our close connection with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Live with the end in mind. We would like to be successful in everything we do. Why not have the same intentions for our eternal life. Lord, help us all to bring more of you into our life for 2023 and for as long as you will have each of us here on Earth. Very simply, God first, you, second. Sounds easy but we know how how hard it can be to keep it up. Do your best to be resilient in chasing Him, for he longs for this!
361/365: How To Start Strong
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. ~ Psalm 143:8
If you want to get your new year off to a solid start, then you should start with a firm grasp of where you want to end. To do this, try something completely crazy - let go of your future. Release your grip. Focus on today.
Open your hands and give your future to God. Listen to His spirit through prayer about living each day pointed where He is leading.
Start the habit of beginning each day with prayer to intentionally give God your plans. He will shape them, establish them, and give them back to you.
Remember: God first, you second.
