Michael V…I have struggled with the same issues and I would encourage you to download the Chip Ingram app and listen to the series Keep Pressing Ahead and The Invisible War..it’s About Spiritual Warfare once you start listening you won’t want to stop. Worth listening to repetitively!

I continue to pray for all my brothers on this app since we're all dealing with keeping our eyes on Christ. Every day can be a struggle, but He never leaves us. Thank you Lord, for your love and salvation. 🙏🙏

Good morning Brothers in Christ I hope all is well with everyone. Though we all have our own races to run let’s always keep one another lifted up cause there’s strength in numbers. There a lot of days when that race is Hard but we know who we have on our side. I have to keep myself encouraged cause some days it seems so dark. Mindset goes a long way in this race. Be encouraged and be a Blessing to those you com in contact.

I believe this life is meant to be lived moving forward, toward Gods will for our lives. I must wake up each morning, seeking and searching for what that looks like today. Some days, it’s to knock out some of my mundane to-do’s. Others, the phone rings or messages come in where someone is in need. Here’s a simple fact Ive found to be true 💯 of the time, if I want to live out God’s will for my life, I must ASK each morning for knowledge and wisdom of what that is, the strength to carry it out, and for Him to use me in service to His will, not mine. Another fact Ive learned, is every morning I can remember not doing this, that day was crap lol. Seriously, I didn’t go out an drink over it, but enough days wasted like that, and I’d probably be craving the escape of alcohol or drugs all over again. We only have one shot at life on this earth, and last time I looked around, it really needs each of us giving it all we’ve got to be of service to others. Together we rise, divided we fall, amen 🙏🏻

Praise be to God for your progress. Been there done that. Life is amazing when you are free of addictions like booze and tobacco. Hang tough. God and you will prevail.

“I’m off and running and I’m not turning back” let’s go! Day 8 of killing the can and no nicotine whatsoever from a 100 to 150 mg a day habit to zero. This was my maybe twelfth time or so attempting to quit Copenhagen dip. Every other time I’d get stuck in the blocks obsessing about how will I function without nicotine and would always plan my quit around switching from tobacco to pouches then to nicotine gum then to nicotine patches. Heck I even remember one of the times dreaming up some sort of chemistry project of taking the herbal chew and sprinkling in nicotine from pouches. Adding so much complexity where it wasn’t needed. This time I just asked God help me just stop on a dime. Let the cravings flow through me and around me. Now 8 days later I feel great! I’m still going to keep on a praying for God to deliver me though. Tobacco is like alcohol cunning baffling powerful. Help me focus on today like I’m trained to do God and be in the moment with You. I love You God amen 🙏

Michael, my wife has been sick this week, leaving me to take care of our two small children (3 and 1) on top of work, keeping up with the house, etc. that is nothing compared to what you have dealt with but this week has allowed me to think of you and pray for you. You will get through this, brother!

No matter what this race we call life throws at us rest assured that we are never in the race alone. The Lord is always there to encourage us, to pick us up when we slip and fall, to give us strength when we think we and go no further and to even carry us when we need to be carried.

Maybe it’s just me, but the enemy has beat me and my family down so hard these last few months/years that at times it has knocked me out of the race-sickness, finances, busyness, death, - I find myself isolated and walled up - in survival mode most of the time! Raising 2 kids with a sick wife and NO HELP from any family to speak of…marriage stressed… I still have faith and do my best to do His will but the enemy is relentless and it becomes easier to believe his lies in such a state. Father-I know you are stronger and I know how the story ends in victory-but I feel myself living in His freedom and victory less and stuck inside self more! Just being honest
