Steven, I’m 19 a while back at my job when I had preposed to my fiancée I had gotten a co worker. I was a little attracted to her but she was also a little bad news. I loved my fiancée she may not be every thing I want but she is everything I need and I’m trying to give her everything she needs. God didn’t send her the devil did. Go doesn’t give us everything we want he gives us everything we need. I prayed to god asking for a way out sooner or later she told me she was quitting. God answered my prayers. Like I said God gives us everything we need and not everything we want. God bless

5 years of my sobriety from alcohol has taught me that when we resist such temptations, we gain spiritual authority. It works this way, this confidence: by bringing our best selves to the table (which is partly for the sake of others who have to share space with us), we are doing what perhaps 90% of others, in the world, are unwilling/unable to do. This is integrity and dignity is real stuff, it is power that can save us from such things as others’ deception and concealed dishonesty, which confuses, sparks otherwise unexplainable anxiety in, and ensnares the less-prepared.

The first temptation recorded in Scripture shows the true nature and consequences of every temptation. The devil asserts that what God has said is untrue, that it's not truly in our best interest, and that God is unreasonably restrictive. He wants us to believe that God is the selfish liar. The devil also presents sin in the most appealing light possible by upselling the fun and downplaying the consequences. Insanity has been defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I don't know about you, brothers, but this is exactly my experience when it comes to temptation: Satan tempts me; I listen to him but think, "This time will be different;" and it turns out EXACTLY the same. There is no fig leaf garment large enough to cover the shame.
BUT God (I love this phrase), fully aware of what I've done (whether again or for the first time), comes calling—not with condemnation in mind, but with the hope of restoration! When will I learn to see Satan and temptation for who and what they truly are; when will I learn to put my full trust in the One who demonstrated His love, faithfulness, and character on the cross?
Father, please help, forgive, and change me!

I've got big trouble brothers, I need prayer and help. I met a beautiful young woman at church, lied to her about my wife of 27 years, fell in love with her and now I can't turn back.
This temptation was over barring, it seemed. My selfish flesh and my dishonesty lead to where I am going to hurt one of these women and possibly destroy her life and my own.
I feel I need to see the new woman every day. I know we will get caught sooner or later. I tell myself that God sent her as the angel I have wanted all my life.
I continue to be weak in this regard.
Please pray for us and this situation as I ignored the way out that God definitely provided. I am so stupid for starting this.
God help me.

Service to others. That’s been the key, the way out, every time I’ve turned to God for strength when temptation arises. The more ways I connect my life, my day to day, with places or organizations that seek to serve others the more opportunities I’m provided to escape selfish and self-serving temptations that arise. When the world shuts a door, God opens a window. How many windows have I installed in my life? Those windows have opened numerous times the past few years literally while praying for strength, comfort, serenity during difficult and tempting times. I’ve also seen how the light God grows in each of us gets brighter and brighter, and through these windows others see His hope. We are called to be lighthouses, cities on a hill, I can’t do this from my couch. I must plug into as many opportunities God places in my path and take advantage of those opportunities, seeing them as the windows they are, rather than inconveniences or distractions from MY will. Jesus was very clear about our purpose for our lives if we wish to be Godly men… Serve God, serve others, and we will be served. If others are peering in my windows, God grant me the courage to let them in 🙏🏻

I love this. Indeed God won’t allow us to be tempted without a solution to our temptations right there along side us. Granted the temptations look far more appealing in the short term and without regard to consequences but yikes those consequences can get mighty painful the more we go towards temptations. It indeed does create opportunities too to get to know ourselves and how we are wired. Training the mind to recognize when thoughts become divergent from the path of light quickly and early. Heck just getting to a place where I began to catch that almost as soon as they popped up was amazing. Then my plan to overcome them. Get my face into scripture/readings, get out my journal and write the why behind it, call my closest friend, meditate, pray, hit a support group meeting, go to church, draw/sketch, etc. That’s a lot of options for when temptation arises. Even so it takes discipline to choose the correct response given the situation. We all have that God given discipline it’s up to us to train it daily to be our armor. Thank You God for these gifts and friendships. You truly are a merciful God and I love You amen 🙏

No temptation is stronger than God. When we are tempted we need to lean on Him and use the escape He will always give us. Jesus has already won the battle over Satan, and will help us do the same. Love you Jesus! 💙🤍🤎🧡

No matter what temptation you might feel afflicted with just know that out Lord is always there to help us through it. Don’t let your temptation overpower you bug hit it head on and Satan no more that is not who I am because I am a child of thd most high God.

It’s a blessing to know that God cares about our success over sin so much so that he is willing to provide an escape from every temptation that has ever existed amongst men. And even if we do fall prey to sin , HE is faithful, and just to forgive us of our sins. Guys, we serve a wonderful God that loves and cares for us , so be encouraged and know we have victory over our temptations that lead to sin. Live Bold for Jesus!

Temptations are real. They can come at any moment. Prayer and scripture are valuable weapons to have in our arsenal to use against them.

307/365: Turning the Table on Temptation
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. ~ 1 Corinthians 10:13
There is nothing unique about temptation - what began in Genesis has continued to pursue us up to this very moment.
Is temptation begging you for attention right now? If so, you need a strategy.
Instead of feeling like stalked prey or a prisoner in a hole, draw on the power and strength given to followers of Christ. Be active, not passive!
Turn the table on temptation. Use it's power against itself.
Rewire the tempting feeling and use it as a trigger to actively look for the escape route - even if it means embarassment or hardship - there is a door ready for you to walk through.
