300/365: Toss Out The Fakes

When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. But the more they were called, the more they went away from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images. It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them. I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love.  ~ Hosea 11:1-4

The world flashes its shiny objects and we chase the world - as if it can offer hope, rescue our souls, or fill our empty spaces like a little god.

Men, The world only offers cheap, impotent, strange toy gods -- like money,  time, pride, greed, lust, power, food, etc.

Put away the toy gods and turn to the one and only God who knows you and loves you.  Confess, repent, and find rest.
