The past is history, the future is a mystery, the present is a gift.

Our God, is the God of “What now?”. He created this universe one day at a time, and it is designed to be lived one day at a time. Our relationship with the Creator is to be grown one day at a time. Our individual callings in this time on earth, are to be lived out one day at a time. If I spend time today, thinking over the events of yesterday or what might occur tomorrow, I am wasting precious time that I could be here and now, today, doing whatever God has laid out for me today. God no longer exists in yesterday, that’s now the enemies playground. God does not yet reside in tomorrow, also the enemies playground. God is here and now, in this moment. He was there yesterday, and He will be there tomorrow, but the Holy Spirit wants us IN relationship with Him right here and right now in this very moment and every moment proceeding, step in step. If I am stuck in depression, I’m allowing my mind to wander to the past, alone. If I am plagued by anxiety, I am allowing my mind to wander into the future, alone. God, keep me and hold me, today 🙏🏻

Try as we might, we can’t make God quit loving us. Many times we will turn our backs on Him, but he is still one step away. We may think we leave Him, but He never steps away from us. Always there with His love. Love you Jesus! 🤎🤍💙💛

Why me? More like thank you for sending me! Why me invokes powerlessness and no agency over whatever is happening. Thank You for sending me invokes our faith in God and courage to go straight at the challenges of life. The next time you find yourself in a moment or event of why me change it up to thanks. It’s a little weird if the event is a family disaster or death of a loved one or friend. But thank You for sending me because I am faithful and will surrender my actions to You God is powerful. Not only for ourselves and mental/spiritual state but few things are more powerful for nonbelievers to see. I know for me before I found God moments like that I saw in others made me really curious about what secret sauce they had. Granted it took awhile before I became willing enough to surrender but once I did it was incredible and is still incredible how God puts all sorts of breadcrumbs into all situations good to terrible. Often times terrible leads to greatness. Don’t turn away and hide from terrible. That’s no life. Get on your knees and pray. Suit up in Gods armor and go straight at it knowing the creator of all things has your six. I love You God amen 🙏

What does God owe me? Absolutely nothing because I am nothing but a sinful creature in His eyes; dirty and disgusting but in spite of that He still loves me and accepts me as one of His children. What do we owe God? We owe him everything and deserves nothing but our praise and thankfulness. No matter what we do He is always there for us and is willing to take us in His ever loving embrace and forgive us of those things we have done wrong. Yeah there are times that He teaches us through disciplines us through His Word and the instruction of us but Hid love for us is everlasting and He will never leave us or forsake us. If we can not hear Him it is because we have turned our back on Him and refuse to listen. Let us keep our hearts and minds open to God and His Son Jesus as they loving instruct us and correct us.

Right! I listened to a great podcast /sermon by Mark Driscoll about illegal vs immoral. My bad habits are no longer illegal but rather immoral, a sin, and only bc they are a crutch that I use instead of trusting and relying only on Christ. Have given up so so many illegal habits that I thought I could hold on to these but the enemy uses them to constantly bash me over the head and heart with such that most days I feel disqualified to witness to anyone-thank God for readings like today, reminders that our Abba doesn’t feel the same about me! Freedom is a choice I have to make, sometimes 50 times in a day…every time the devil comes knocking! “The devil saw me with my head down and thought he won, until he heard me say AMEN!” Strength and courage brothers!!

Good morning, brothers. Father in heaven, we thank you for awaking us up this morning with the ability to correct our wrongs from yesterday. The enemy is doing a good job of reminding me of my past mistakes, he doesn't let me forget because I can always find something wrong with me visually.

Good Monday morning my brothers in the Lord. Thanks again Robert for those words of wisdom. Yes, I thank God I don't get kick to the curb also. My troublesome problem, is a particular disgusting sin that haunts me continuosly but praise God I do have victory over which I truly enjoyed and use to find great climatic joy in. I thank God for songs like "He walks with". And once again thanks to my brothers who while being opened about what they go through help me to realize it is just not me. May our Heavenly Father keep you. Please also pray for my wife as she has a job interview today. Stay strong. Amen

It’s always nice to read words of encouragement on a Monday morning. Who am I kidding, it’s always nice to read words of encouragement every day of the week! I’m sure most Christian men would have God instantly remove some form of sin in their lives, but it usually doesn’t work that way. For me, being an addict is the one sin that weighs me down most. I’m not battling drugs, alcohol, or even pornography; but I discovered kratom at the local vape shops, and it’s helped me relax in the evenings and weekends. Even though it’s a legal substance, I feel guilty for using it. It’s incredibly expensive as well. When I find something I enjoy, I can get hooked easily. I’ve also discovered the Great British Baking Show and now I love to experience with baking.😊. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins to my brothers because it’s what’s right .

So grateful that God doesn’t kick us to the curb when we sin. Yes, He disciplines me. Yes, He takes me to the woodshed when necessary. Grateful for the 2nd, 3rd, 1000th chances. ————————————————————— Lord God please help me turn from sin. Help me to not beat myself up. Help me remember You’re with me and want what’s best for me. Please search me and point out anything that offends You. Please give me godly sorrow over it and grant me true repentance that I will turn to You. Thank You that if I confess my sin You are faithful and just to forgive my sin AND to cleanse me from ALL unrighteousness. Lord God I need You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
289/365: Getting Through the Tough Times
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ~ Romans 8:35
There is nothing you can do to drive Christ's love away. So when you shake your fist at heaven, yell at God, or demand an answer to "why me, God?!?"... remember, He loves you more.
If you are struggling right now with any shameful thoughts over what you have done or are doing, it's time to lay down those chains of shame at the cross.
God forgives completely. Any shame you may feel is straight from the enemy, used to keep you in bondage. Give it up and live free.
