My wife and I are in the midst of a storm currently, dealing with things we pushed down over a decade ago and never faced as we should have, coupled with severe depression and grief from deaths we never processed and worked through. Honestly up until today I wasn’t sure if we were going to be together much longer or if she was going to tell me she’s had enough and leave… I’ve been a fair weather Christian for way longer than I ever cared to admit but I’m using this storm as an opportunity to grow personally and in Christ. Still sending up prayers and appreciate any prayers anyways.

My wife passed away 5wks ago. She left behind 2 awesome daughters and our Marine son. It’s been pretty rough. I tried drinking to find sleep at night for nearly a month straight but thankfully ended that process. I found this app and just now found this chat in it. I just wanted to say that God’s grace knows no bounds. We are managing the grief and trying to find our paths to healing. I encourage everyone to really weigh the events and things in your relationships that cause strife, discontent, and anger against the possibility that you may no longer get all the positives you love. Should those events or things have near as much importance?

These past few weeks have been very hard for me and my wife. We are in a storm but united by Christ's love. This is a storm I brought upon us. Nevertheless, I know that by staying close to the Lord we can make it through. We hold to His promises of love and peace and pray for deliverance. Strengthen us Lord and anyone reading this. I give Him praise!

Finding the silver lining is all about perspective. It’s all about getting out of self, to see the opportunities that lay on the other side, through the challenge ahead. Soldiers grab their rifles and charge forward for two reasons: They see no alternative, there’s no option to sit and sulk in self-pity. And, they know they are not alone in the fight. They know “the suck” exists for their brother and sisters around them also, so complaining only makes it worse for everyone. Hence the phrase, “embrace the suck”. In my recovery and spiritual journey, I’ve learned so many incredible lessons. One of those lessons is that life sucks. This life is a long line of lessons, challenges, struggles, hurts, betrayals, and battles. And I’ve seen only two categories of people when it’s all boiled down… Those who have learned the perspective of removing pride and ego, so that they can see the silver lining in each of those negative experiences so that they find the positive. And those who have not yet found that perspective, because they’re still blinded by their pride and egos. There’s only one thing that pulls away that veil of pride, and that thing is surrendering to God in the morning, and reporting back on how the day went at night. Every day. If I miss a day, that pride is blocking my view. If I forget to report back at night, things spill over into tomorrow.

God is always there for us. At times we think He has left us, but all we need to do is take one step toward Him, and there he is. He is our God, and we are His people. Love you Jesus! 💙🧡💚💜

Send me God send me. Yep some seasons are tough and long. I’m in one now with work that is very challenging but at the same time I keep finding myself saying I’m glad this project landed on me. What a great way to improve my project management skills and grow towards the role change to a PM than having a very challenging timeline and scope without a giant budget backing it up. A year ago and certainly two years ago I would have been whining and complaining about how hard it is and how it’s so unfair and blah blah blah despair and self pity. Occasionally I will catch myself drifting towards that in thoughts. Thanks to God and His guidance to meditate on His word I recognize that negative very quickly and change it up from oh me this sucks to oh me this is a great opportunity to be challenged and improve a lot areas. So thank you God for this month of October it feels kind of great to run to You for help and comfort in it. You’re the greatest father ever. I love You God amen 🙏

Good morning my precious brothers in the Lord. Along with the main scripture given and the lovely and reassurance of one also found in the book of Jeremiah our Sovereign and loving Lord is truly with us at ALL times. Yes times may be dark. Yes times may be stormy. Yes there may be times you feel your alone. But He is always,always there. Just reach out to him start to pray harder and mostly start to welcome him into that situation and praise him for just being God. And you will see things change. Stay strong and remember we your brothers are also here. Stay strong. Amen.

God is with you. The Holy Spirit remains, and we must seek the invasion of the Spirit upon our hearts. Ephesians 3:14–19 (ESV): “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

God is good ALL THE TIME! All the time GOD IS GOOD! ———- My wife and I are going through a VERY difficult time. Idk if I’ll be married much longer. Idk what the future holds, but I know God holds the future. I don’t want a life without my wife in it, but by God’s grace I will survive. I NEED Him. He is sovereign. He is Lord. To God be the glory!

Good morning, brothers. God is so good, My life today is filled with the love from our heavily father. this past year and half has been so life changing. I went through a tough divorce, I went through two trips to the nut house in one month. I didn't ever think that I was ever going g to love my self again. I got involved with a church that did an encounter weekend, and let me tell you when I say it was a life changing event for me. It gave me the confidence to keep fighting. I went to the encounter thinking God was going to help me close some doors from my past. He didn't close any doors he opened doors to help me get around my problems. with positive thoughts and actions my life is ready for the journey.

Some days are harder than others. Some tough seasons seem to drag on with no forseeable end in sight.
I'm certain we have all prayed for things which never seemed to happen. And we've each had an unfair dealing of the cards when we were least expecting it. BUT... God does not leave us.
If you are facing a long, dark, hard season right now - don't blame the clouds or God. Look for the light in the moment.
Scour every last detail to find a glimpse of God's love. It's there, but you have to seek it. Meanwhile, those who are in a season of joy will be praying for you.
