Thank you all....I so needed to let that go and have a word, any word of encouragement. The "stuff" Mom and Dad (was killed on a tractor 13 yrs ago) built up in their home is of no real interest to me. Mom and I were really close and she gave me everything I wanted and things that she wanted only me to have, but again it is just stuff.
I will read the scriptures that was shared and truly pray about it with my wife. Thank you Àll again and may God's blessings be on all of you.

7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
in this passage it is speaking about brothers, in Christ. However, Is God being glorified?

pride or ego tells us it's is. And I have faith that Jesus will take care of my needs or make me whole in another way (forgiveness for my sins) if I forgive my brother. Sorry for what you're going through and sorry about the loss of your mother. you're in my prayers. God bless

Michael, I am sorta in the same boat as you. I once let a friend borrow 7k and she never paid me back. went to court over it and everything. All I could do was put a lien against her. Still never saw a dime from it. A few years ago I quit everything in life to take care of my mother full time who had alzheimers. (She has since passed) I thought my brother could help me out when I needed a break or to get away. But he didn't. I could on and on. And during that time I was taking care of her I had alot of anger and resentment. The last time we spoke was 2.5 years ago when she passed. I was never a believer until the last couple of years. Over the course of getting to know Jesus and reading the Bible I know God wants me to forgive and let it go. That's its not worth it(even if you and I are both in the right) and I know my mother would not want her sons not talking. I can't quote scripture the best but there are plenty of passages on this topic. alone. I have tried forgiving him during this time and in all honesty I'm almost there with it. The only reason I say that is because from time to time when I think about it I might get mad for just a couple of minutes over it to where I was consumed all day by it before. So sorry for being long winded but I can tell you to type in the topic and you'll get your answer. Jesus would want us to forgive because I know I need to be forgiven by him for things I've done wrong. I can tell you that in the long run its not worth it as much as our

I work with people who are very manipulative and always try to hold something over on me. They slander me behind my back. I don't let this bother me because I know they are spiritually sick people who need God in their lives.
in seeking God's will,I have learned to do my best, my part in any relationship so I may be blemish free . We are told to pray for our enemies, better to not have any but people can be envious and jealous through their own misery.
God works in any tough situation.

I am at a crossroads with my brother he lies and has stolen from my wife and I. Our mother died recently and left everything to us in the will but if you ask him it is all His (tractor, tools building materials....). Example is he gave us her four wheeler and we were using it on our adjacent farm just to have him want to borrow it so his grandkids could ride it one weekend ...went to get it back and was told that he is keeping it and he never gave it to us. He did this in front of his friends and I called him a lier.
I am just scratching the surface here but I have spoken with an attorney and I am about to take the will to Probate Court to get my fair share of my parents estate. My wife and I have prayed about it and I am struggling to keep evil out of my heart. My thoughts have been pretty bad towards him and his wife. She once said "I wish she would hurry up and die" just so they could have the farm.
Any advice, should I challenge or just walk away and let it go!???

@Tommy - I cannot count the number of times my wife told me she wanted a divorce over our 29 years, yet I know she says it anger, and she doesn't really want that. What she wants is a husband who is totally surrendered to God. Our gracious heavenly Father is still trying get me to that point.
Today's devo was spot on. At times I am easily provoked, which is not a good witness to those who know I profess Christ.

People like to project their own insecurities and problems onto others. Many times it’s an unconscious act as they try to solve an internal problem by making it an external problem. So when someone is firing off nasty things or someone is just kind of being a donkey out of character it is wise to remember I have no idea what they might be going through. Even someone extremely close to me might be going through some hardships that they aren’t speaking about and what not. They may unwittingly fire off in a way that’s out of character that can come across as a personal attack. We all have a choice though in whether we choose to become offended by it or if we can take the high road and know it likely has nothing to do with us but it might so stay accountable for my own actions and seek ultimate ownership over them. Let me see someone firing off as a signal flare that they may need some assistance or maybe they just need to feel heard and seen. God help me to always keep this thought process in mind when someone is trying to purposely create offense in me. Help me to turn the other cheek and ask them what can I do to help them out. Then there’s always boundaries too in the case where someone is just toxic. Setting boundaries might help them realize what they’re doing is wrong and they are putting whatever relationship it happens to be in jeopardy. I love you God amen 🙏

One of the things that I was never happy with was my anger. I was always slow to anger but when it came to the surface it do so rather explosively. On September 14 when my wife told me that we no longer had a marriage and hadn’t had one in a long time it erupted over her trying to talk to me while I was on the phone with a medical provider regarding the cost of some of the medication I had been prescribed after they found my diabetes was sky high. Surprising myself I really did not lash out at her as she was with me but instead just started crying. I did offer to move out and find someplace to which she said no and the next morning after I apologized for being such a bad husband she said she did not want a divorce. My first thought was yeah because you want to keep my social security money coming in but I refused to let myself get drawn into an argument. On the following Tuesday I texted her apologizing again and letting her know that I still loved her and wanted to work things out. I even asked her to list what I had done wrong to which she has not responded as of yet. My point to this is no matter what the enemy throws at us we need to be stronger and not respond back in the ways that he wants. Respond back not in anger, hatred and bitterness but instead with LOVE, GENTLENESS and KINDNESS.

Great point Michael V. My first instinct when attacked is to “consider the source”. But when it comes from someone we love, respect and trust…. It’s a little harder to swallow.

The Christian man should not be easily offended-todays lesson! Are you? I have moments that I regret but for the most part I try to let insult roll off me like water from a ducks back! Not sure why but it’s hardest when coming from my wife! Strength and courage brothers!
