Chris Hodges tells a story in his book “Out of the Cave”, where he literally turned his cheek to a bully in college that swung on him and knocked him down. That bully hit him again, but then later, was saved having never forgot that example of mercy he was shown by Chris. He’d probably bullied dozens of people, but it wasn’t the one who gave him his whooping that opened his eyes, it’s the one who responded the most like Jesus would. How we respond to our daily challenges and troubles, is greatest witness to those around us. Todays Bible app devotional hit it on the head, it’s not that we need to learn to be kinder, more loving, more obedient… Alone, I could never do any better than I had been, no matter how hard I tried or how bad I failed. I needed Jesus. Once I focused my time and energy on getting to know Jesus, those others things began happening as a result, as the fruits of my labor. The closer I get to God, the kinder, more loving, and more obedient I become. The more time I spend in the morning praying and seeking God’s will for today, the easier it is for me to hear God’s soft and gentle voice guiding me. The quieter the noise around me is. The easier it becomes to decipher between my voice, the world’s voice, the enemies voice, and God’s voice. God is always speaking to me, always. I’m just not that good at listening all the time 🙏🏻

You ever think man I have so much on my plate this week or this month how the heck am I going to get through all of it. Then you pray every morning and break out all the pieces into daily bite sized bits to chew on asking God for guidance on what needs to be done today. Listening for His little nudges in your thoughts to the direction He wants you to take and then doing that. The month comes to a close and you knocked out what needed to be done or maybe you didn’t but learned something very valuable during that months struggle. I fully trust in God that no matter what I have on my plate im either to get it done or fail trying. Those times I fail I am graced with knowledge. Those times I succeed im also graced with knowledge when I am wrapping things up during closure to examine what went well and what didn’t. God gives us the courage to use the tools He has also given us. Let me execute today God towards helping others and towards Your light to be an example to others of what turning my life over to You looks like. I love you God amen 🙏

lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20b. As Jesus told His disciples to go preach and teach He knew that they would face opposition so He reminded them that He was always with them NO MATTER WHAT even until the end of the world. We have that same promise today as they had then. No matter what comes our way the Lord is with us. He will never leave us of forsake us no matter comes our way. I look back over the trails and tribulations that many of us have been through recently and yet God is still there with us. Just in the last two months he has brought me though heat stroke with the family not showing much care, my heart attack and my wife telling me that we haven’t had a marriage in years. Yet I carry on and trust in Him to see me through. He will do the same for each and everyone of us no matter what. Live Bold, Stay Strong and let Him guide us through the times.

Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow! He is worthy of praise no matter what I am experiencing. He is God. He is Lord! Hallelujah! O Lord my Lord how majestic is Your name in all the earth! I pray that I will seek Your face and know You. Help me Father make it through this day. Help my marriage. Heal my marriage. Help me to be a godly man.
275/365: Carry On With Courage
Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. ~ Isaiah 49:13
No matter the things which are pressing down on you today, know that God lifted the mountains from the ground and scattered the stars across the heavens just from the sound of His voice.
This same voice speaks to your soul every day. Listen for Him through the peace he offers. Call to Him in your struggle and sing to Him in your victories.
God is deeply interested in you. There is nothing you can do to cause God to love you less. Carry on with courage.
