To know and feel the love of God and the courage to do what is right and just in His eyes before the worldly ways. Now that’s a great objective one may reach based on todays reading and is what came to mind while reading it for me. Some measurables or key results for how am I doing on my path towards this objective might look like am I studying Gods word. How do I help others? Am I helping others out of vanity to self promote? Do I seek God first and allow Him to direct my life? What have I been working on today, this week, this month towards making sure God is numero uno in my life? I think it’s very important to have some sort of scorecard to assess one’s self in anything. Some things are easy because they’re tangible other things take honest assessments before the almighty. I feel a lot of peace these days and have for a couple of years now even in the harshest of storms because I do this sort of assessment often and when I’m not performing in an area I seek Gods knowledge on how I can improve it because I have the utmost respect for Gods will in my life. His power is absolute and always rights the wrongs of the world, but they are on His timeline and His ways that outside of our capability to grasp. So I’ll stick to faith that all things good and bad have purpose in the greatest of all architects blueprints. And be grateful to have a role in those blueprints. I love this life and I love you God amen 🙏

“The Awe of God” by John Bevere. This book finally cleared up the difference between “fear” and how I interpreted that, and the “respect” that is usually means in scripture. I can’t expect to even try to sum it up here without creating confusion, I highly recommend it on audible, read by the author 🙏🏻

There’s a line in the Casting Crown song “Praise You in This Storm” that says “as the thunder rolls, I barely here your whisper through the rain ‘I’m with you’ and as Your mercy falls I’ll raise my hands and praise the God who gives and takes away” ——- for me it’s hard to hear God’s still small voice most of the time. I don’t believe it’s always a whisper. Sometimes He roars. It’s not God who has a problem with communicating. I have a problem with hearing. There is a LOT of “static” and other distractions.

I think at times we try to hard to hear God. Just carry on and many times you will get a signal or sign. Many times I look back and think “that was God telling me”. Love God, Love Others. Love you Jesus! 🤍💙💛💜

Something I’ve learned in sobriety is that I can start a bad day over a hundred times if need be! There is literally nothing anyone can do or say to me that can ruin my day as long as I am willing to take a short walk outside and ask Jesus to calm me and reset my mood! Usually He deals with my sin and my u willingness and my ungrateful spirit-never the other persons-once my head n heart are right again, I can forgive out of love and with my priorities right again, I can rejoin the situation with thankfulness, a smile and a refreshed outlook. So if your mad or offended then you’re there by choice!! Strength and courage brothers !!

Good morning my dear brothers. That was very well said Tommy, thanks. One thing I would add to that seemingly time of silence is simply begin to just praise him, not just in your head but audibly. I find it really works great for me. God bless and keep you bros. Stay strong . Amen .

Many times lately I have noticed men saying that no matter how hard they pray that they just can not hear from God or feel Him move in their lives. Today we find the key to unlock that door which seems to be closed tight. That key is to love the Lord with all your heart and through loving Him we see God open up His love to us. Many times during periods when we do not feel that we hear God our hearts and minds tend to close off to Him, making it harder for Him to show us His love and harder for us to hear from Him. Let each of us open our hearts to God each and every moment of each and every day. Taking time out from our prayers and pleadings to meditate on Him and His love as we listen for His guiding spirit. Also let us heed the second part of Jesus’ answer to the Pharisee to love your neighbor as yourself. Many times we close off our love to our neighbors or family (waviest) when they have done something wrong to us or we feel like they have. However if we immediately forgive the infraction and continue to show them love hearts begin to soften and their love begins to return.
274/365: The Primary Duty of God's Men
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. ~ Ecclesiastes 12:13
When God seems silent on what you should do with your life, remember this verse. There is only one primary duty we are charged to keep... "Fear God and keep his commandments."
Jesus Christ tells us about those commandments, "Love God with all of you... and love others as yourself"
God blesses us no matter our condition or location if we fear(respect) Him and keep His commands.
