Good morning! Extremely blessed to receive this devotional today. I actually am kind of going through this exact thing right now. I need to focus more on loving God and realizing that when I love God and follow him, HE will always open the doors to opportunities that HE wants me to pursue. Amen!

It has been in observing others calmness in troubling times that I was most taken back by their words or actions. Rarely has it been flashy words or actions that has stuck with me, rather their suredness and calm demeanor I remember most. At work, and in life, it’s been how others respond to troubling times that stick out the most. Did they over react and obsess over what should have happened, or respond and focus on what now. If I am truly present in whatever situation I’m in, Gods presence is with me, and will show me the others around me, and God will work through me to love others. When I’m not present, it’s like I’m oblivious to the people around me. I’m in my own head, instead of focused on those around me who God would have me love and bless somehow. May we all be present today, wherever we are, and focused on others, amen 🙏🏻

As we each toil at whatever work we do, let us work like we are working for the Lord and be grateful for a job. Serve the Lord and serve others as He would desire we do. Love you Jesus! 🤎🤍💙💚

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:4-8 KJV. When Paul wrote these words he summed up how we should we should look at our walk with the Lord. Keep our thoughts on the good that the Lord has for us and the rest will takes care of itself. There is no need to worry and fret over things as long as the Lord is in charge of our lives.
268/365: Doing What Matters Most
This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. ~Ecclesiastes 5:18
Men become wise in spirit when we stop focusing on what we do for a living and start focusing on why we do... anything.
Worry less about whether you have the right or wrong career path. Instead, keep your eyes on serving God no matter what you do. This is how you find that elusive contentment and happiness.
God's desire is for you to love Him first, take care of your heart, and to love and serve others. Let your job be the instrument through which others meet God.
