252/365: Bridging The Gap Over Hard Times

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. ~ 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4

We have our ups and downs. It is our faith which bridges the gap over the deep valleys of fear.

Our faith is the life line which extends into the hole so we can climb out of despair. Our faith is the tether which keeps us from falling over the edge when our footing gives way.

No matter your place in the family of God, you are valuable. You are worth fighting for, and you should fight for those who don't feel they are worth fighting for.

Praying for you James. Praying for your family. Praying for the Lord’s peace be on you, all of you. I lost my son too, in an accident on November 1st 2009, 20-minutes after I put my arm on his shoulder for a departing family photo. The bad news is that the pain never leaves. The good news is that I am at peace with it. Make sense? I believe Jesus helps us survive the good and the bad when we put our trust in him -John 14:27. May you bathe in the Peace He gives you and your family knowing tomorrow you’ll see your boy again. It’s OK to feel the pain, and the Peace God give us if we let ourselves accept it. Remember God gave us His Son. He knows our losses are beyond our understanding. So be trusting and the His Peace fill the pain. It will. Love you like a brother. 🙏

This hit home for me as this app always does when I go a while without reading and come back to it. My faith is not good, I struggle . I am trying to be a better man and work out of the dark places. I asked for God's help as I do when I am low. which lead me to here. something told me to comment on today's post and confess that I need help and guidance.

James, I have no words, only prayer for you and your family, his family 🙏🏻 I am taken back by your Faith, humbled. Every fathers worst nightmare, and you are walking it with God. I’m reminded of Jesus, who knowing He was about to resurrect Lazarus, still wept with his family, because their pain was very real. The pain we feel in this world is indeed real, and God weeps with us, even though we know it is but our passage to our lives forever with Him in the next. Love you brother, praying for you 🙏🏻

An inspiring message for sure. I’ve been blessed to have a wonderful Mom who went to the Lord yesterday at the age of 96. I’ve had 68 years of a loving mother and I’m so thankful for that but with no daily phone call that ended with I love you seven or eight times with a God bless it made a huge hole in me. Thank you God and bless my brothers and sisters in Christ

James I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know any words I say can’t possibly bring much if any comfort to you. Your testimony of still trusting God and KNOWING Gods plan is perfect even when it makes absolutely zero sense to us. Your son was received by God like you said. He has left this world for the perfect one. The one with pure perfect love being the only language spoken. Where time doesn’t really exist but the plane of that reality does. Gods plane of heaven. You may have to wait some earthly time to see him again, but you will indeed see him again in his perfect form and your own perfect form united once again along with all of your loved ones that the Lord has received. The ultimate tether we all get. I appreciate you sharing about your son and your steadfast dedication and love of God through possibly the highest level trauma a parent can endure. I am praying now and will be praying a lot for you and your family to feel Gods love break the clouds of pain so you may see glimpses of what’s to come in the next place and have your heavy heart carried by God himself. God has got you brother. I love you God amen 🙏

God is good. Always. I praise You Heavenly Father for Your goodness. I praise You for who You are. You are the Lord God Almighty, maker of the heavens and the earth. Maker of ALL things. You spoke it ALL into existence. The earth trembles at Your presence. I praise You for Your purpose and will for me and my life. I thank You that Your will is done and will be done. NOTHING and no one can stand against You. You are God! There is no other besides You. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death You are right here beside me. You go before me and You are my rear guard. Thank You for loving me the way I am and loving me so much that You don’t want me to stay this way. Thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning. Thank You for strengthening me for battle. I praise You for victory in Your name! Glory to God! Praise Him ALL the earth. Praise Him all you peoples of the earth. Thank You for sending Your only begotten son, Jesus - God in the flesh - to die to pay the penalty for my sin . Thank You for rising from the dead to make me right with You. You did all this while I was still Your enemy. Hallelujah to the Lamb who was slain for me - for the entire world! Jesus, You and the Father are one. Good morning my brothers. To my dear brother Samuelson my heart breaks with you we can be so thankfull to have one another. I would like to share a wonderfull verse that you already know and it is "sorrow may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning". We all need to stick daily to the word it will keep us strong in times of need. Just remember that "He sticketh closer than a brother". I am still in the process of climbing out the deepest hole that my almost 75 years of living has ever put in my path. I lost a 42-year-old child in perfect health and just starting to really thrive. He and his wife and two boys and just bought a little farm just outside of Eatonville Washington. They were doing so well and on the 14th of July 2023 my daughter-in-law called me to tell me that my son Julian had been in the motorcycle accident and he did not survive it. As awful as it sounds I thought surely Angela is joking that couldn't be, not my son, my son can't be dead... But he was. But I am holding on to God's word and I am holding on to my faith. My faith says, God does not make mistakes. I don't know the reason why God decided to receive my son back with him instead of saving him and leaving him here with us but, I know God does not make mistakes. My faith always tells me to trust God's plan because it's always better than mine. My faith is for things hoped for but things not yet seen. My heart is still breaking every time I think about my son but I am still holding on to God's hand and trusting in my faith and my God, my Lord and Savior Jesus.

Faith, what is it to you? To me it is believing that the Lord will bring me through all the darkness and evil times that the enemy wants to bring across my path. In thd last few weeks it has been trusting the Lord would bring healing to my body after a heart attack struck me, watching tgd Lord bring healing from a heatstroke when my family didn’t seem to really care. The Bible interprets faith as “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” In Hebrews 11:1 KJV. When I had my heart attack 10 days ago I did not see it coming but yet I had faith in God that He would bring me through and He did. I had no evidence that He would bring me through except for my faith that He would not let me die until He was finished with me. Sometimes the valleys that we all go through can seem dark and bleak but through faith we know that God is always there with us and for us. Many times the walls of our trials seem to get very high, steep and narrow but God always has a rope there to help us climb out. Don’t waste away in the depths of the valleys or tight narrow places but exercise your faith and climb out of there onto the mountain top where we deserve to be whenever the Lord is on our side, which is 💯% of the time.
