Lord Jesus thank you for your Holy Word and for this devotion. Thank you for your Holy Spirit. Please fill our hearts with your presence and teach us, guide us, correct us, and use us for your purpose. Thank you for each of these brothers and their testimonies. Thank you for the lessons we learn from them. Thank you for the lessons we learn from the people you place in our lives and the experiences you bring us through (good and bad). Lord help us to focus on what You are teaching and giving us through our life's journey and not on inevitable hurts the world presents. Thank You Lord. Amen. God bless you all brothers.

At the moment I am not learning from someone directly and I also am not teaching someone directly. I feel I try more and more each day to become and act like Jesus. I know that to become more like Him I must find a fellowship of believers to not only grow my faith but also help them grow theirs. Deep down in my soul I would love to have a fellowship but at times social anxiety pushes me the other direction. I pray that I will let God lead me to where I need to be, no matter how uncomfortable it may sound in my mind. God bless everyone and have a great day!

Brothers, I encourage you to go read the GO DEEPER link to Ephesians 4:11-16 in the MSG version for guidance on maybe why you feel alone, and lack of disciplining… It highlights the key to maturing in our faith, to growing our fellowship with others, to recognizing and fine tuning our daily habits and routines. The key, is in Acts of Service. I can not hope to fulfill God’s plan for my life from my couch, if I have legs to walk and arms to carry, a tongue to witness and ears to listen. You find fellowship while in selfless service to others. You build friendships, from service. You disciple as a servant. In sponsorship, as a sponsor, you’ll grow more than as a sponsee while helping others work through problems you’ve never personally experienced. There are countless places wherever you live, to begin volunteering, and get in the habit of serving. While reading this I’m sure something comes to mind, schedule it, and follow through. While typing this, Ive thought of two people I need to reach out to and check in, listen, and prepare to be of service if anything they mention I can somehow help with. The key to lifting our spirits, is by lifting someone else’s. It builds friendships, and our spiritual connection with God 🙏🏻

Symbiotic relationships are awesome. I’m learning something from them while they are learning something from me. These are the types I choose to have in my life. It’s a sort of balance my mind and soul craves. This isn’t to say I won’t help someone who has nothing else to offer me other than the opportunity to help them. Those are super important too. Maybe more important because they are selfless. This doesn’t mean to help me someone without their permission though. To do so would be selfish and only feed ego that I’m Gods helper even though I could be damaging someone else relationship or delaying a future relationship because of that. A lot of that comes from how I was trained as a leader which is very hands off with clear objectives to reach and freedom to get there however you’d like but ask questions if you get stuck or need help sort of thing. This is the way of my faith and life. No puppeteering others to suit my pride or ego or whatever. I’m a mortal and Gods the only one that should be doing the puppeteering but He doesn’t even do that. There’s always a choice to go towards or away from Him. Make those choices towards God. I love you God amen 🙏

I fortunately I have many mentors come through my life and am sorry to admit that I did not listen to some of them as much as I should have. There has also been many young Christian’s come through my life as well that I have been able to teach and help mold and I pray that I have been wise in my instruction to them. Now I feel the Lord has sent me here to help and guide some of you as well as learn from some of you. Brothers don’t sell yourself short on some of the wisdom and instruction that you offer to others with your insights and testimony not don’t ever consider yourself to old to learn. I have been at this walk for most of the last 58 years but I can still say that I have lots to learn and I hope lots to share.

Best way to live is to make your life your testimony to those you come in contact with and always glorify GOD thru your thoughts, words, and actions. That’s my daily prayer. Stay up Men of Christ. This APP is such a blessing 🙌🏼

Well let's try this again. Me and electronics are not friends (lol). I, like so many of you, did not have any sort of mentor come along to guide me on my walk with God. I am also so thankfull for this app to place me around so many men that are like minded. Let's continue to both pray and build up one another in the word of the Lord. Be part of a Bible and Holy Spirit filled church and we will do just find. Stay strong. Amen.

My bothers we need to take authority over the spirit of isolation. We are not and never will be alone. Jesus himself is right there with us “ALL” the time. Those feelings of being alone are from the devil himself, trying to keep us from the joy salvation has given us. Yes there are and will be trials to try and keep us down and locked up in solitary. But no matter where we are he is arm in arm holding on, closer than any brother. Scripture and the Holy Spirit is are teacher, pray for someone to be sent to us to mentor us. And there is always someone watching and learning from us, whether we know it or not. Again we should pray for the Lord to give us people to disciple and grow in the fullness of his teachings. Don’t believe the lies that you are alone and unworthy, we are children of the Lord God Almighty. That is why the devil fights so hard to keep us down, for he knows “ greater is he that is in me thanks in the world “. God Bless you all, and have an incredible day!

I’ve tried some men’s groups and gatherings before. Did better on my own.

Being a 40 yr old immature Christian man, I fail everyday! I’m not near disciplined as I need or would like to be, but today is a new day (Thankful for that!). I’ll get better one small step at a time. I have a family that looks up to me for guidance, and I refuse to let them down. Have a great day gentlemen! Accomplish something today!

Neither of you are alone. I have nobody. Which may be a good thing as it helps me focus more without distractions. Plus the spirit is always with us, this app, the others on here and the bible at all times. So technically we are not alone as we are surrounded by Christians. I think God will send somebody to us when it's our time to teach. God bless

You’re not alone there brother. I imagine there are many that feel the same way including myself. I have teenagers and am doing the best I can with them to set an example and mentor to them but often I feel I’m not very good at it but I don’t feel I have anyone mentoring me. I feel through this App there are mentors and those being mentored each day.

I’ve never really had anyone teach me. I’ve never really been discipled by anyone. No one has ever come along side me to help me - at least not consistently. As for teaching others, I’m not sure I’m doing that with anyone either. I wouldn’t (don’t) know where to start. I have grown children that really don’t want to listen to me. My wife wants nothing to do with me most of the time. I don’t feel qualified to teach anyone anything. I’m trying to teach myself, and I’m not doing very good at that. I have 2 men’s groups I’m a part of. Just started going to the second one. Only been to it a couple of times. I’m pretty much on my own.😞
249/365: Becoming A Mature Christian
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
~ 1 Corinthians 13: 11
If we want to win at faith and life, then our faith must grow from infancy to maturity. We must let go of childlike thinking as we rely less on our understanding and rely more on God's truth and promises.
As we grow and mature as Christians, we should never dismiss the young Christian. Rather, exercise patience and help them mature with wisdom, mentoring, and coaching.
Success comes when we reach forward to learn from a teacher while reaching back to teach a new Christian.
