245/365: Because Christ Loved Us, First

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:1

Some men have difficulty expressing love through words, while many find it easier to express love through actions. Be mindful of what your actions are saying.

Are your actions telling the people around you - that you love them? Are you showing the light of Christ through your hands, your work, or the things you do for them?

Actions often do speak louder than words, but there does come a time when we must use words to tell others about why we do the things we do.

Next Step: Do you love them? Tell them today - with words. Then follow it up with actions.

That’s great Dale!!! No training needed-just a desire to do the will of God! You have plenty enough sobriety to run that meeting! I pray god uses you to do a mighty work in your community!!!

My wife and I have been called to start a Celebrate Recovery in our church. There will be lots of training. I have 8 years of recovery time, but she is just beginning. Please Keep us in prayer.

It’s great to have another day to show God’s love in us to others that maybe looking for that kind of love. Remember the fruits of the spirit and apply it the best you can to represent Jesus. Keep God 1st and have a awesome day men of God 😎🤙

It is definitely WAY EASIER for me to say “I love you” than to follow it up with actions. Idk why, but I know it just is. It’s also harder for me to show them love in the way they need it vs how I think it should be done. I guess it’s me loving others in my “love language” instead of learning their love language and loving them accordingly.

Words are easy and action takes effort. A saying my girlfriend and I came up with one night on the phone. A great saying and great way to think if you ask me. To dig into we were discussing how many people say x y z but don’t follow through with actions for that. How it’s real easy to say I’m going to do this vs I’m actually doing this. That’s not to say words aren’t powerful. We as Christians should speak openly about God and His miracles so others may hear it and may be less afraid to speak openly themselves. Creating a cascading effect. Yesterday Ash and I were doing our gym thing and we talk a lot about Gods miracles,scripture,life and what not in between making Arnold faces in the mirror lifting those weights. A person came up to us and said that it’s incredible we speak so openly of our relationship to God and they thanked us for being brave enough to do so. It caused a realization there’s a lot of Christian’s afraid to talk openly in public like we do at the gym. I never thought about it quite like that. I talk a lot of being beacons and one way to do it is to talk openly about God and our own experiences with Him. No preaching down to people but openly sharing our story with humility. Being fearless in a society that ridicules we can break down societal barriers that others maybe afraid of. May all of us be unapologetically faithful and speak of God and showcase our actions in alignment for the whole world to see. I love you God amen 🙏

Brothers…this is not just good stuff, LOVE is how Jesus said the world would recognize us as his followers-by the way we love each other-I often forget, especially in traffic or when someone takes a shot at me with rumors and lies, this is the ONE THING! The world is watching and calling BS on every person who calls themselves a Christian but who doesn’t express the love of Christ to everyone!! Are you helping or hurting the faith?? Strength and courage brothers!!

Let’s never forget how great the love of God is. When I talk about the love of God the lyrics of the 3rd stanza of the song “The Love of God” comes to mind. “Could we with ink the ocean fill, and we’re the skies of parchment made; we’re every stalk on Earth a quill, and everyone s scribe by trade; to write the of God above would drain the ocean dry; nor could the s tool contain the whole; though stretched from sky to sky.” Let us never forget how great God’s infinite love is and let never forget to share that love with everyone we come in contact with.

How can we show love to other that we might not even know much less those around us that we might not even know? The best way is to embed the love of God in our heart and let His love extend out from us at every opportunity. The previous couple of days has been an incredible lesson of love to me. While in the ER an addict was brought in that was in a pretty bad way. Even though I felt horrible my self at one point I felt he needed prayer and ask the Lord the to touch him and calm his shaking and other violent movements down as the nurses were trying there best to calm him. As I prayed the nurses both glanced toward me with one giving me a slight grin. A short time later as they shelled me out of the room to take me to the Cardiac Cath Lab the same nurse whispered a thank you to me. Several other times while in the hospital I got to witness to many on staff from the house keeping staff to the head of the cardiac unit. In the process I even told my wife that I love her more than I have in the last 6 months combined. We need to let the love of God flow out from us at every opportunity.

"Love is patient, love is kind, love does not demand it's on way. " Love is so easy for me to give to some people. Lord, I pray that You will remind me of this scripture when dealing with those people that are not easy for me to love.
