239/365: How To Stay Happy

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press ontoward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 3: 12-14

Happy people usually have one thing in common, they continue to pursue their purpose. They are thristy for knowing more about God and serving others.

If we set worthwhile goals we care deeply about, there isn't much we won't do to reach them... they magnetically draw us.

Stay focused on the prize of Christ! Make your goals hard, but worthwhile. Stretch yourself to grow every single day and you'll surely find a depth of happiness that will flow effortlessly out of you.

Good day brothers. I have been off the app for 6months as was fighting my own demons of feeling low and not worthy as a men. It’s not a easy journey but reading this motivated me to keep pushing ahead.

Oh yeah the big one I forgot-don’t forget we live in a world at war and you will have to take thoughts captive and rebuke the enemy daily! Add that to the few simple things!!

I would consider myself a fairly happy person most of the time. It was not like that just a couple of years ago. Heck even just one year ago. I tended to chase fleeting self serving junk. Gaming, binge series, laziness on the weekends and all of I thought was good so I didn’t burn out. The weird thing is the more I tried to relax the more burned out I felt. I’ve come to realize I am most happy when I’m working on something. Heck even gaming I was always “working” on something in game and once I got it I needed a new game to play to keep on “working”. I like work now. Career work, remodel work, cleaning the house, gym time, designing workouts and nutrition plans, you name it and it brings me joy. It brings me joy because it’s purpose to exist and when I take it to the next level and think about how I invite God into the work with me, well that’s just wow level. I think that’s the key to life is realizing work is not work but work is actually purpose. And no job or career can exist for long if it doesn’t help other people. So no matter what that is it is helpful to others. And that is God given and amazing! I love this life and I love you God amen 🙏

Just the few simple things, not necessarily easy, but simple. Read the Word daily, journal, pray, set aside an hour a day to sit in Gods presence-when i journal and pray, join a mens group at least once a week, find someone to mentor in doing these things. The result will bring you k owl edge of and closer to God!! Was the winning formula for me. Strength and courage

Setting goals has generally not been an issue with me. My problem, and one of the biggest threats to my happiness, is my inability to let go of the past. "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead" is what I need to work on to secure my happiness and my walk with our Lord.

I’m kind of like T. I can’t remember ever setting a goal. I think I might have tried a few times, but never really did whatever it was. I DO need to know God better. I need that goal and to figure out the steps or smaller goals it will take to accomplish it. It definitely would be a lifetime goal.

As I get ready to retired next May. My Christian Counselor had me. Write outFive goals in the three years. This working well.

As we press forward toward the prize, to me it seems easier the older I get. Not near as many distracts for my attention. I clearly see the prize I want and I stay on the path to reach it. Love you Jesus! 💙🧡💚💜

I have never been a goal oriented person. I have been one who takes things as they happen. It has been difficult at times even to stay in the race. Now is one of those times.Right now feels like I am in a Ground Hog loop.

We will never reach completeness in God until that glorious day of Christs return or we pass from this life into eternity with God, so let us therefore seek daily a deeper relationship with God and strive to do his will daily.
