When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. ~ Acts 4:13

There are no special classes, no diplomas, or special education which qualifies you to be a Christian. Just spend time with Jesus and accept His gift.

The Holy spirit speaks as you crack open God's word and follow the teaching of Jesus. It changes us into world changers!

God used average, ordinary, unschooled disciples to turn the world upside down. Today, you have received God's word - now you can go turn the world upside down!

@Barry - Praying for you and your family today, and that the Lord gives you the words to speak. @Robert - I know what you are feeling. I often feel like I'm going through the motions. I read five different devotionals besides LIVE BOLD, a couple of chapters in the Bible, and a prayer journal on my phone almost every day. The crazy thing about doing the prayer journal on my phone is that "autocorrect" now knows what I am going to pray before I pray it. Like you, I know we are not saved by what we do or don't do, nor by our feelings, but only by the grace and mercy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who gave His life and conquered the grave that we might have life eternal. That is where our hope lies. LIVE BOLD brother. 🙏🏻

I feel like I’m in such a rut that I can’t get out of. It feels so much like something is missing. I know that it’s not by works of righteousness which I have done, but according to His mercy He saved me. I know it’s the free gift of God that saves me and not any works. Still, it feels like I’m missing SOMETHING. I’m tired of living fearful. I’m tired of not being fully obedient. Yet, I still let fear control me. My prayers often feel like a rote “now I lay me down to sleep” kind of prayer. I say the same things in the same way almost every single time I pray. They are things I need to pray for /about, but it just feels so rote a lot - if not most - of the time. I need personal revival. I need You Jesus to invade my life. I need to surrender FULLY to You. I need to TRULY and COMPLETELY lay down my life and take up my cross and follow You. Help me Jesus!!!

This reading reminds me of something I saw or watched - I don’t quite remember. Anyways that thing was to “just start”. I know for me it is very easy to feel like I’m doing something by reading various inspirational, discipline building, fitness, finance, etc books/videos and feel like I’m doing something to move the mark. When I’m reality I’m simply learning and still stationary. I could spend an entire lifetime in this learning mode because I love learning so much. What use is it though if I never take any risks with that knowledge gained and get out there into the world to apply it. It’s all just theory in that case. The world is a far better teacher when it comes to practical applications of things learned. And by world I mean God. I don’t need to sink thousands of hours into learning something before trying to apply it. If anything I need to try to apply it immediately and ask God to guide me and teach me along the way. This is what is meant by “just start”. Mistakes will be made along the way but that also means that’s just God saying hey maybe you should have tried it this way instead. Go and try again. Harbor no fear, the greatest power in the entire universe loves you and wants you to make a big splash in His name to light the dark and bring hope to the masses with your journey. God guide me today to be the best possible version of myself and humble to learn how I could have done things a little better when I get ready to sleep tonight. I love You God amen 🙏

I really thank God for this God appointing devotion today. We are attenting a celebration of life this morning for a nephew who took his life. Everyone of you my brothers please pray for me to speak with the annointing of our sweet Savior and bring comfort at this time. May our previous and Souverin Master be with all of you today.
