227/365: Accountability Is The Antidote

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. ~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

You've likely asked God more than once to help you break loose from that "thing" which keeps you sick inside. It has a name... and you know it well. Don't you?

God gives us a prescription for keeping our spirit healthy - which is a dose of accountability.

Remember, Christianity is not a solo practice. If God saw the value of not being alone (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), then shouldn't we see the value in doing faith in tandem with others?

Are you serious about healing your spirit? Do you really want freedom?

Then it's time to get accountable today. Agreed?

We all have God to help us back up. Then God shows me how I can serve and help others back up including myself. It all starts with a basic concept that can strangely be elusive. Humble internal honesty. I like to think of this like the saying writing down a problem solves fifty percent of it. It’s an equation. I have this problem in my life and I need to find the value of X in order solve the equation for the answer which is JOY (Jesus Others Yourself). This is an oversimplification of course but it is the framework of it all. Now I don’t know if you’ve ever gotten stuck on a math, chem, physics, etc problem in school but if you have you probably asked for an assist or a tutor. I know I had to ask plenty of times. Life is no different. It takes humility to ask for help. The teacher never thinks the student dumb. Instead they are thrilled they get to do what they love and teach and witness the breakthrough. We all are teachers in our own ways. Help me to own what I’m great at and teach that. Help me to own what I struggle with and ask for help with humility. This is iron sharpening iron in our faith journey. Thank you God for helping me build a group of friends that I can be honest with and who will sharpen me should I become dull in any areas. I love you God amen 🙏

We all need that brother we can share a burden with, but we must also be a brother others feel secure sharing with us. A lone sheep is many times a dead sheep. Satan has too many wolves out there to operate alone. Love you Jesus! 🧡❤️💙💜

How I long for a strong spiritual friendship with another male and a genuine accountability relationship. I have friends, most of whom are church brothers, but it seems when I attempt to go deeper and/or discuss intimate things, they get nervous, change the subject or just shut down. This leaves me to wonder if it is just my personality or the way I approach things. Pray for me.

We just did a whole series at church on this very subject. It was a Wednesday night series for six weeks. It was called boundaries.I learned a lot through this series. It was to teach us to differentiate between major burdens and minor burdens , you know day to day things we all can take care of, your daily load so to speak and not to take on those daily chores of able bodied people who can handle them. I’m guilty of taken on some peoples daily burdens they can handle themselves and have had to learn to step back because your not teaching them how to handle life on their own for the future.

I know it’s a cliche, but we really are a band of brothers. We are warriors whether we are fighting or cowering somewhere. I absolutely need my brothers. It’s good to know I am never alone. Idk that the guys in my life are THE group for me or not, but I do know that I need godly men. —————————————————————I picture Sam from “The Lord of the Rings” as he carries Frodo up Mt. Doom. All throughout those movies (yes, they were books first) Sam is the real hero for me. He was loyal to Frodo. He encouraged him and tried his best to be a help for him - even when Frodo listened to Gollum’s (Satan’s?) lies and told him to leave. Sam left, but then saw the evidence of the deception and went back to rescue Frodo. I pray to be a man like Sam and I pray to have men like Sam in my life.

Good morning, brothers. I have been told that when we work together, pray together live through life to together our bond with Jesus is like the red wood trees that grow 300ft in the air is because our roots are all intertwined together make us so strong that no matter the storm we are still standing strong. Also, I need to remember that Jesus never ran anywhere he always walked, and he is always on time he is never late. So when the storm is bad and it seems like it will never stop raining, there is a reason for it. Growing stronger day by day, we can achieve the impossible. have a blessed day, gentlemen!

God is always perfect in his timing! After years and years of complacency-I joined a mens group again and brought my teenage son-last Tuesday. I remember the guys telling me the enemy would come hard and try to derail my efforts-here it is Tuesday, our 2nd meeting, and Satan has me so busy today and sick with a cold to boot, I want so badly to just cancel for tonight then this message today, on Tuesday…thank you Jesus for speaking to me! Magni always hear and always listen and act!! Amen
