The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. ~ Psalm 116: 5-7

If you are in the middle of worry, trudging through doubt, or facing a wall of fear today - pray for peace.

Ask God to show you all the times you faced trouble in your past, and to reveal how He was present in every situation.

Stay close to God's spirit. You will come through the other side of your worries with the help of His people along the way.

@Juan Paulo - My brother, I struggled with an addiction to pornography for far too many years before I came to realize we cannot overcome it on our own. However, I have discovered there are things we can do to draw closer to God and break the chain of destructive behavior. First and foremost, we need to be in God's Word and in prayer everyday. We need other men who are willing to hold us accountable; therefore, it is essential for us to be involved in a Bible believing men's group. I recommend installing Covenant Eyes or some other accountability software on all your devices and get an accountability partner who can monitor where you go on the Internet. There are plenty of resources that can help in the battle for sexual purity. There is a DVD collection called "The Conqueror Series" available at Pure Desire Ministries that I found very helpful in understanding the addictive nature of porn. I also recommend the following books that deal very candidly with the subject: "Pure Desire" by Dr. Ted Roberts, "Clean" by Dr. Douglas Weiss, "Every Man's Battle" by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker. Lastly, it's important to stay connected to the LIVE BOLD community. I and most of the men that use this app are either going through the same struggle or have gained "sobriety" from pornography and want to help our brothers in Christ have victory over the flesh. There is victory, healing and restoration in Christ Jesus. Praying for you, brother. 🙏🏻

I needed this, especially after a mandatory meeting at work. I'm upset, angry, and hurt, and so many other words. I know GOD will see me through what's coming up. But I feel like yesterday was a slap in the face. GOD, please help through this. And GOD be with every man on this app and what they are going through. I ask for them as I ask for myself, let Your will be done, not ours. Amen!!

@JerryHoover Prayers for you brother! I have recently been under the conviction that it is God’s will that I should be completely dependent on Him. My nature is to seek security from my financial position, my church family and pastor or other pastors/speakers that I like to listen to. This is so wildly different from where my journey began. I was a drug addict with nothing! No money, no position, no relationships, NO IDOLS. It was there that God parted the Red Sea for me and I knew Him for the first time. It was the worst, yet sweetest time of my life. I am a hypocrite at heart now, because I would be terrified too if I were in your shoes. I pray the Spirit ministers to you!

Father God, I also lift up Jim’s situation. Please move in the landlord or help Jim and his family find a better place to live. Jerry, I agree with Old Dude. If God allowed it there is a greater purpose, He will use it to bless you and grow your faith in a deeper way. Don’t give up! Keep your focus on Him and on what you can daily and leave the rest up to Him. Look for verses of God’s promises that apply. Write them down and read them and declare them to God daily. He will get you through and I promise you will be better for it. It’s time to trust and time to battle in prayer. Father God, I lift up Jerry and his situation to You. We know You promise to provide, to care for us, to make our paths straight when we follow You diligently. Jerry does and will continue to Lord. We ask that You move in this situation and that You make Yourself seen and felt as he and his wife go through this. God they are trusting and believing in Your faithfulness. Give them a focus on You, strength to endure, guidance in what to do and wisdom in how to do it. Open greater doors for them. For Your honor and Your Glory!! In Jesus mighty name we pray!! Amen!!

@Jerry Hoover - There is nothing that I can say that will make your situation better, but our heavenly Father knows exactly what you are going through and He knows your fears. God allowed this to happen; therefore, there must be a purpose in this storm. Y’all please say a prayer for me. I’m going through one of the worst times in my life right now. I was the Director of operations for the Ohio River Bridges for the State until I was recently fired for not caving into the Deputy Commissioner’s demands that I spend 3 million of tax revenue and toll money to pay for a new private tolling contractors demands that the state pay the lease on a new customer service center in Louisville. (Clearly in their contract 4 times to pay their own leases) The guy that demanded I be fired was a very close friend, a brother in Christ and a preacher. I now trust no-one, and because of that I have alienated my friends because I don’t know who I can trust and who I can’t. I’ve lost all my retirement, all of our insurance and my wife was in the middle of cancer surgery and our nest egg is nearly depleted. May have to sell everything we own. After 62 trips around the sun nobody wants to hire a old guy. Right now I just want someone to stick their foot out and stop the world because I want off.

My experience has been that every time I’ve gone into prayer during very worrisome times, He answers with a call for help from another person, and an opportunity to be of service to them. Ive learned to keep my ears and eyes open after praying for comfort, or peace, as going into service for someone and helping them work through something always brings fresh perspectives for how many thing I have to be grateful for. Even a homeless person helping someone handicapped cross the street can find gratitude in that action of selfless service, IF they choose. And, that handicapped person in buying the homeless person a meal, can find gratitude in that action of selfless service. We ALWAYS have much to be grateful for, and the key is by helping those less fortunate.

God you have indeed pulled me through some crazy and painful times. You literally saved me from certain death. Life can get really hard at times. Things out of left field swoop in like an errant throw and hit me in the head while I’m sliding into third base for a triple. Many times those things out of left field aren’t that bad but oh boy can I spool them up if I don’t catch myself in the act of hyping things up beyond the level they are. So today I ask for focus in the moment. Focus on right now and only what I am to do today. Not a year from now. Not five years from now. Those goals are great but they can drive me a little batty with my internal dialogue if I’m not careful with how I’m viewing them. Help me to stay completely grounded in you God and in the now with everything. Keep my heart grateful and ready to be of service to someone else. I love you God amen 🙏

My experience has been the same! Often times God has helped me through people-occasionally family but more so others in recovery! So I want to be available to be that person God needs to help someone else but life’s circumstances keep me so dang busy that it’s been hard being available…last few weeks I hear God calling me back to him, getting my attention for some reason…trying to slow down so I can see what He’d have me do!

In my 58 years of walking this path I have found that when the path of life seems the darkest that it is then that God, Jesus and the Angels are surrounding me the greatest. No matter what was going on if I was being sexually molested, if I was I’ll running a 105 fever, even when I turned my back on Him, been in a major car accident or had just suffered heatstroke He was right there beside me lifting me up and giving me the help and attention that I needed. Brothers trust in Him no matter how bleak your existence may be. Your family and friends might not be there for you but our God, His Son, the Holy Spirit, and all of God’s Angel’s are right there for you. Learn to put your arm around His shoulder and trust in Him to carry you through.
