Amen!! For the last 10 years my wife and I have Fully trusted God!!! Now we have 3 kids we fostered and adopted! Then God said your not done and blessed us with a 4th child biologically , which 5 doctors said we couldn’t!!!! Now we just opened our own business! Plus Work that makes me the “ bring home the bacon Dad!” I know more to come!!

Trust God in all we do and rely on him! God is where our strength comes from! Discipline is something I had a lot more of. I am trying to get back to being more disciplined. I love watching sports and played quite a few sports in my younger years at a fairly high level. One of the many things I love about professional athletes is the discipline it takes to physically compete at the highest levels. The discipline is also mental too! Then, you take the best of the best like a Tom Brady or a Lebron James and you realize they are on a whole other level with the discipline they show (year after year). Anyways, I just feel overall better being disciplined and having things in order. I pray God gets me back to discipline and trusting him in all I do. Blessings, strength and discipline to all my brothers out there!

This scripture is one that I say outloud regularly, anytime I’m struggling with accepting something that’s happening around me, or inside me. God, I will trust in You with ALL my heart, I will NOT lean on my own understanding! I repeat this until calmness comes over me, usually less than a minute regardless of how bad things got. The longer I wait to do this, the longer it takes to get calming peace, but it has ALWAYS worked when Ive remembered to use it… the key I read in the first sentence of the devo is it says “reach their goal.” The key I’ve found for me, is asking myself “what’s God’s goal here? What would His will be in this situation I’m in?” Because personally, my default is to look after myself first, and that default may never change… But, Ive found the longer I’ve tried practicing this pause and ponder method, the easier it gets to recognize God’s will in a situation. And, not surprisingly, many times it conflicts with what my default reaction would have been. The more times I ponder rather than react, the less I find myself needing to make any amends or restitution, and the more peaceful my life and relationships become. It’s a wonderful life, when we place God in charge 🙏🏻

@Brandon - discipline is a struggle for me. Always has been. I need prayer to help get my life organized and disciplined. This quote from a pastor a few years ago haunts me. I’ve saved it as a weekly reminder but, haven’t done it yet. ————————————————————— “Disciples of Jesus Christ intentionally order every area of their lives in order to grow in Christ-likeness.” ———— please pray for me y’all!

Reading this and between the lines it is DISCIPLINE that is the difference maker above anything else. Discipline is not motivation. They are two separate things. I used to run on motivation before finding God. So it would be a burst of let’s go followed by nah I don’t want to right now I’m tired or whatever excuse fits. Discipline is doing what needs to be done no matter what. Like reading and writing every morning. I love doing it but there’s certainly days I’d rather push the snooze button or reset my alarm to give me that extra hour of sleep. If I find myself wanting to do that my discipline gets me up and accountability learned from Gods word has me ask the questions necessary for me to correct actions that might be making discipline harder than it has to be and having the discipline to examine why was tired in the first place. Then being disciplined enough to fix it by going to bed earlier and or starting the ready for sleep routine sooner. Discipline is the resolve byproduct that God delivered into me. I must train it always. Thank you God for a life I love. I love you God amen 🙏

FACTS! God is always found when I search for Him with everything I’ve got! Knowing this yet I still apply half measures some days and still disappointed when God seems distant! Lol-today Father-I give you all of me-all I’ve got-my whole heart-speak to me! In Jesus name. Amen
