God should be the center and focus on how we move in everyday life. Man, that’s the tough part sometimes, because “Self” will get in the way each and every time. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾

We seek status to determine our worth or seek to be of usefulness to our brothers and sisters in this world to feel real worth.
Oddly I've been pondering something similar to this lately. More on the extreme influence that soaks through all the rigors of media to "teach" you into believing the only way to know your worth is with what physical things you can show off. All of this of course sets up expectations that a person is to have stuff. All of that expectation turning into entitlement. Then that entitlement turning a person sour to the world. This was a loop I was in for 40 years. I still feel this loop creep it's way in and have to pray daily often many times a day for help with this particular character defect. Which all stems back to fear of unworthiness. I am reminded by this reading that I need not fear for I am worthy through selfless actions. How can I help becoming the moniker to live by. God bless you brothers. I look forward to reading all of your shares throughout the day as usual and thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts and prayers in these readings 🙏

Each of us need to stay humble and look at others as opportunities to share God’s love with and help however we can. Our main purpose in life is to help each other. Love you Jesus! 🤍💛🧡🤎

Good point SG. I always pray before meetings for God to have me hear what he has for me through others, and for me to speak His words for others to hear. I often find myself forgetting that first part in the midst of others sharing, and without first listening, my words end up being what I want others to hear rather than what God would have me say for others to hear. It’s not just in what I say either. Many times I notice a stark difference in “how” I speak depending on how focused I’ve been in listening. God meets us wherever we are, and we must meet others where they are in order to truly be of service. My reading this morning was Matthew 20:28 MSG which talked about being a servant leader… a slave to those I lead. Almost everything in this new life following Jesus is a paradox from the World’s way. It all is very clear and makes total sense to me now that I’ve witnessed Gods miracles in and around my life, but damn it’s a tough task to unlearn and implement these new approaches and methods. God, I humbly beg of you to keep me in step with your son Jesus in how I speak and treat others today, amen 🙏🏻

I want to focus more on being an open vessel that can receive from others - to be a neutral-listener, not simply waiting for others to be done speaking, but to really listen and absorb the meaning of their words. Amen
182/365: Using Your Skills
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
~ Proverbs 11:25
We can seek status to determine our worth or we can seek service to present ourselves as worthy.
Jesus gave us the standard of life when He taught us that serving others is the secret sauce for a joy filled life.
Your hands, your words, your feet, your ability --- are all tools for God's purpose. Serving others fills our soul and honors God's command for living. It makes you a more focused man of God.
