175/365: Do Your Part

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! ~Psalm 133:1

It might be foolish to expect "everyone" to live together in unity if they are serving their own little gods. However, each of us who call Jesus, our Lord, we are expected to live in unity under one banner of Christ.

For those living under the banner of Christ, we have a command to love God and love one another. There is no exception to this teaching of Christ.

Today, make the effort to unite your Christian family - whomever they may be and wherever they may live.

Imagine the massive impact we can make if God's people would sync up and pull in the same direction! Do your part - not tomorrow - but today.

Heavenly Father, Awesome God, Your kingdom come, your will be done, in jesse' life and family as well. Please restore the fire in his walk with you and his service for you. Refresh your spirit within him and guide him to unite with his family drawing them with him closer to you. in Jesus' name, Amen

Good evening my brothers in Christ. These devotions always seem to hit home for me. These last few weeks I have been distant with the Lord and I have paid the price with issues in my Christian family and my wife. I’ve never left a message on here but if anyone reads this would you say a prayer for me and my family. Help me relight the fire in my heart for our Lord and Savior and so we can be in unity and restore what I have messed up by not doing my part. Hope y’all have a great rest of your weekend, and thanks in advance.

The best way I’ve seen to unite our family in Christ, is first to understand “family” in Gods eyes has little to do with blood. I’m going to hit on L’s crying out for help I just read from yesterday… Somewhere, whether on here or in his town near him, there’s someone who’s made it out of that 30’ hole he’s described. Someone who, as part of his own spiritual conditioning, needs to recognize and empathize with L’s situations, and jump in there with him because they know the way out. We unite our “family” in Christ, when we look all around us and see each and every breathing person as a brother and sister. We stop arm chair quarterbacking and get to work. We volunteer at our local nonprofits, churches, shelters, food banks so that God can place these people near us who need to hear from us how we got out of our own holes. If someone reading this doesn’t feel like they haven’t escaped a hole in their life that’s going to be helpful to another, here’s a shot of truth, you’re currently digging yours. Every day we live where we haven’t sought to help another as God instructs us, is a day we dig a little deeper. Every day we are focused on selfless service to another somehow, we instead have helped dig them out. There’s no such thing as “maintaining” our spiritual conditioning. We’re either helping another and growing, or holding ourselves back and dying.

Lord thank you for this day and all the blessings and another opportunity to serve you. I am having a barbecue with Christian brothers and sisters to celebrate our friends move to Georgia. The Lord granted the desire of his heart to move back to his previous home to be reunited with his church and family.Truly a miracle as his wife almost died a few months ago and is now well on her way to recovery. Thank you Lord Jesus

Pretty simple instructions here be like Jesus. No that execution of those instructions well I’m going to need an assist with God, just like any other day. Help me to be patient and understanding today God. Help me to shine bright for those lost that they may find a way to your lighthouse God. And if someone approaches about their curiosity with God may you guide my language to be correct and in a way that shows them how service to You is the ultimate way of life. You’ve given me a lot of incredible things God and I am so grateful that it’s all thanks to You and giving my life to You. I love you God amen 🙏
