when we live in our past or get stuck with past regrets when we feel that we can't be forgiven for the things that we've done . it's like a slap to the face to our heavenly Father who says my grace is sufficient for you we inject our limits on a limitless father were all things are possible

I find myself going back to my past over and over again. That’s not healthy in my Christian walk, I have to forgive myself and move forward.

This is so important! I know that I have struggled most of my life with negative self talk. I feel like I am just starting to really fight the negative self talk. The Bible says to take every thought captive and I really am working on that. Guys, the enemy can keep us from our destiny and working in the kingdom through destroying our thoughts of ourselves. Fight on!

Awesome message this morning. This is the first time I have logged on here as I have started a new goal of spending more time in prayer and the Bible. This word is just confirmation of a topic I have been studying. I have read 2 books recently about thoughts and the subconscious mind as well as law of attraction. All of that lines up with the Bible and many verses in it. It is very hard to not have negative self talk though as we are our harshest critics. I am hoping and praying to break through to be able to monitor my thoughts and create the life I really want and to lead others to Jesus and show them the path as well.

Great words this morning. I have struggled with negative, self-punishing thoughts for years; I have found myself to be my worst enemy. It is through a renewal of my faith and positive influences (this app and others) that I've been able to find peace. Praise Jesus!

I really struggle with my inner voice. After decades of hearing a parent and others tell me I’m no good, not worthy, etc. it is extremely difficult to say anything positive to myself or believe that God loves me at times. Please pray for this to change as this one aspect of my life has been my biggest hurdle in ALL my decisions and experiences.

The way we talk to ourselves and think to ourselves our subconscious mind works to make happen. So I know how important it is to stop any sort of negative self speak immediately when it starts up. I began to notice I could recognize this negative thought patterns the more often I prayed. Like it gave me a pause to be with God and see the foolishness of berating myself. It's not useful to demolish one's self into oblivion or anyone else for that matter. I have found if I try to follow up to myself that I'm human and God WILL help me through whatever is driving the negative think it does nip it in the bud before it has a chance to spin up to a full power negative hurricane. Prayer and meditation trained my mind to recognize the departure from my normal very quickly. I one had a negative thought pattern that ran for 1.5 years. It nearly killed me. I am grateful for it though for at the end of that suffering was my complete and utter surrender to God and my rebirth into a new creature. So thank you God for all the parts of my life 🙏

The further someone is from us emotionally the easier I believe it is to extend Grace. The opposite is also true, the closer someone is, the harder it is to let go and extend Grace. No one is closer to us, than ourselves… The paradox, as I’ve found is usually how God works, is that in order for us to fully forgive others we must first forgive ourselves. In my sobriety program, we must write a list of ALL resentments from our pasts as part of it, and then share it with another man, and God. What I’ve found, and it was true for me as well, is that everyone always leaves two of the most important names off of that list. God, and ourselves… Think about it, how many times in life that something happens which does not fit our will do we blame God, thinking our way would have been better? And, who in our lives have truly hurt us more than ourselves? Who has ever talked more harshly to us, than ourselves? “Nothing you can say will make me feel any worse than I already do…”. Men, we must truly believe and understand that God’s will is best, that there is a reason and purpose, and that we are not suppose to know it until it is time. And, that we will never know it until we surrender to God, and His will. We can not carry out God’s orders for us, until we decide to truly follow his orders. We must surrender, submit, forgive, and get to work using our stories to help our fellow man do the same. Amen 🙏🏻

Thank you for Your grace, Lord. Help me to extend it to others as well as myself because I know you love me & died for my sins and rose on the third day.
GRACE: God's Riches At Christ's Expense. Grace is getting something we don't deserve. Mercy is not getting something we do deserve. We exercise grace with others, we deserve to give ourselves grace too.

Awesome passage today! Really needed to hear this
171/365: What Are You Saying To Yourself?
Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. ~ Proverbs 4:23
How do you talk to yourself? Do you criticize yourself? Is there a particular sin causing you to keep downgrading your faith life?
God is telling us that if we want to change the way we live, we must change the way we think - and how we speak to ourselves comes from those thoughts.
Focus on who God wants you to be and how He wants you to live.
Go Deeper: Philippians 4: 4-9
Next Step: Stop dwelling on the weaknesses or the shame you feel over a mistake you've made. God forgives, so you should forgive yourself and move on.
