Remember that Jesus criticized the Pharisees because they made a show of praying in public for everyone to see them. We may not be "professional" prayer givers, just humble, awkward and imperfect humans.

I feel like Boyce. I sometimes feel that through out my day my prayers are like a phone that was never hung back up. Like one big prayer for the day. I talk to God about anything what I see and how I feel. Even about the stupid things like the landscape looks as I drive by. I always feel like I can look over in the passenger seat and just feel like someone is sitting there laughing at my dumb jokes and just being there for me when ever I need Him. I thank Father everyday for this reassurance that he's always there always with me. This is my first time really talking to anyone about my faith. I really appreciate you guys on here sharing your stories and your faith. Thank u father for these men and thank u God for showing us the way.

James and Steven, I know what you mean but remember that God knows our heart and our intentions. So all we have to do is verbalize our thoughts and be honest/raw. It’s ok to repeat, it’s ok to say I don’t know what I’m doing please help me figure this out Lord…. Thank you Father God for all of these Godly men and hearing their stories and struggles. I pray that you guide us all in growing and becoming what you created us to be. Please help us become comfortable just speaking to You from our hearts. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

I'm with you Steven. I sometimes feel like a fraud because I find myself saying the same things over and over again, and start to wonder if I really mean what I'm saying. I believe God listens, but I also feel like He wants more from me. I won't stop trying, but I struggle with it...

Amen brothers 🙏. I am sure we all have had our set back and sure will have more down the road. But, it’s what we do when we are down. So we stay down or learn from it and say, I will not let it keep me down. Get up and leave it in the hands of our Lord. Trust and believe and allow him to guide you. Steve, I am the same way when I pray, but, I just have a conversation with him. Have a blessed day brothers. Thank you Jesus, Love you Jesus!

All praying is is talking to God. You don’t have to use any special words or special sayings. Just simply talk to your Lord and savior. Tell him whatever you want to say and then thank him

I find it very difficult to pray, because I don’t know how. I guess I don’t have the mindset of knowing what to say. I see people prayers and hear them say all kinds of things that sound like they come out of the Bible. I am a short sentence person. I like to get to the point. But when I pray I just act like I am having a conversation. But, it mostly rambling of my mind.

God, your word and will are like a new set of glasses for me… may I remember each morning to put them on before getting out of bed, and remember to never take them off… Help me to embrace your will daily God, not mine. Amen

Lord, I surrender my morning over to you and I pray that You help me think the way You would have me think and release all worry, fear, anger, resentment, selfishness, and self-pity from my thoughts, Amen.
