27/365: Find Your Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. ~ John 14:27

We are not made to be at war with ourselves. The enemy wishes to keep us bent, twisted, stressed, and out of focus with our walk with God.

Jesus paints a different picture with his very words. "Don't be troubled. Don't be afraid. Take my peace". In other words... "settle down, my friend. It's going to be okay. Chill out."

There's only Peace in Christ, and the love of the Father is given and delivered when He sent His son into the world so they we may have it through Him. The only way to know that you are in peace is when you are one with The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You don't know Peace until you have had suffering and as Paul said, for we have Suffered with Christ so that we may be with Christ. So many in this sinful world are looking to fill that hole in there soul and the only way to do so is to have Christ in you and also know the word that is Yahweh Elohim Therefore we must meditate on it so we may know Him and the plans he has in store for us in accordance with His will! Halilujuia Come Lord Yeshua Come! .....

Robert. I feel you. I worry about my marriage a lot. We are struggling and I think a lot of the time, "Is she going to file for divorce?" She talks about it a lot. I know I need to trust God. I think it is very true that married or not, we are God's. We need to focus on that.

For me, I cannot find peace in the things of this world. It only comes as I surrender and focus my heart, mind, and will upon Jesus, my Prince of Peace.

I have found it necessary to seek peace rather than happiness.all my life I have ran after happiness, And I found that there can be no happiness if I am not at peace with the world, peace with myself, and have the piece of Jesus in my heart.

Amen. took me a lot of years to get close to that state, so have struggles but have been a lot better at not getting riled up easy.

Having peace is a struggle for me sometimes. I want to push and push getting things done but I know I need time to rest too. In the past I worked until I dropped. I would get so sick I would be in recovering from something like pneumonia for 3 weeks. It’s not worth it but I still push myself too hard sometimes. Knowing Jesus certainly helps. Now I try to turn things over to him as much as I can. This is easier said than done.

That saying God doesn't give us what we cannot handle is wrong. He does give us what WE cannot do so we turn to Him and he gets the glory. It really is that simple. On a side note any time I type satan it is intentionally lower case out of disrespect.

Amen Brandon! Craig Groeschel’s book Winning the War in Your Mind dives into that, as well as Out of the Cave by Chris Hodges, both mandatory reads imo for anyone battling a complete come back. That enemy is entrenched in us final chancers in almost every thought, every minute of quiet the lies are repeating in our heads… The truth, and I’ve tested this countless times, the TRUTH is that the enemy trembles at the name of Jesus! Say it. Say it and MEAN IT when you command the enemy out of your thoughts and mind! “In the incredible mighty name of Jesus, I command you out of my thoughts devil!” Then, listen and watch for Gods escape from those thoughts to show up. Sometimes, He’ll guide me to thoughts of past truths when I was rescued, when loved ones were rescued. Other times, my phone will buzz with an opportunity to be of service to another person. Always answer that call, or respond to that message. Nothing in this world will pull you from your funk, like turning to help someone else with their funk. God, in my moments of weakness, help me to remember that you’re only ever a quick prayer from granting me whatever strength and courage I need, Amen 🙏🏻

June, pleasing God is first and foremost the most important thing. That means others come before you because that's what Jesus showed us. That's what will bring you joy. Take time to be alone with God (go on a walk, sit in your backyard, etc) and talk with Him. And know we'll be praying for you.

the evil one likes to lie and deceive. he can come into my thoughts and drive me to a place of fear if I allow it. thoughts centered always in fear of what happens to me... like the loss of a relationship, loss of career, loss of health, my own death due to some unforeseen catastrophe of health. All of these thoughts are not from God. They are from the anti God. I read someone else's writing a few days ago reminding me that those of us saved can command Satan to stop in the name of our father. you know what when I say it out loud with conviction in the name of God and His son Jesus Christ you leave me the heck alone Satan and be gone from my thoughts - almost always the evil ones lies stop. My mind refocused on truth and history of God. I can see it in my thoughts a big bright orb pushing back the dark and the lies. I then meditate and think about the power of God pushing back the deep. Visualizing this beautiful and bright orb of light and moving towards it. Bathing in God's glory if you will. I am so blessed to be one of the broken down and fallen. God humbled me to the point where I know I need to move in his direction with all things at all times. Especially when things are going well. History tells me when things go well I drop my pack. I'm not dropping my pack I want to see what God can do with me and what purpose I truly have if I March towards him every single day. thank you God for my challenges and difficulties. I love you God, amen 🙏

I want this to be one of the last times I say the word death I’ve been having thoughts of passing really bad I love god and am a true believer in my heart in my actions I fail to show him full trust I know that recent passings of people have allowed my triggers to what if a lot about my own health I’ve had test done I’m up on my health and all is always good but I often tell myself what if this time it isn’t my wife and I have been fighting over me going to the gym because I’ve gotten sick there 3 times in the past year just getting over a virus I have a guy who will be sharing my work vehicle with me and now I worry will he be as hygienic as I am or will I get sick from him I want to quit my job and quit the gym to make her happy but where is my place for happiness all I do is think about death I read stories about people who felt they were gonna pass and it happened triggers all around me just pray my endoscopy goes good with good results pray for my ct scan comes back great and pray for my mental health pray for my family and pray that I can figure out how to please everyone and still please myself what would you guys do

Definitely struggle with pulling away from work. It’s hard not to want to “just have the laptop out” while watching a movie or something. I think applying a sort of daily “sabbath” away from work each day is helpful to find balance. Easier said than done!

Each of us need to accept the peace that is beyond all understanding offered by God. Once we give out troubles to Christ, the peace comes next. Give it to God brothers. Love you Jesus! 💜💛💚💙

I would stress a lot trying to handle all on my own. It wasn't until I learned to completely put it all in the Lord's hands (which isn't easy to do) that I started to feel His peace. God is faithful always will be. I just imagine Daniel, still praying during stressful times, knowing very well that he would be breaking. decree and thrown into the Lions Den... Even through that, he trust and didn't forsake the Lord. I do my best to follow the example of some of these stories, again, not easy but with Christ all things are possible. Learning to FULLY trust Him is the biggest step. I pray that God is working in all of you how He is in me. I pray the Holy Spirit continually guides all believers down the right path! Everyday is a blessing!
