Yes and Amen! I find I always feel like I need to be doing something or be somewhere because somebody will need me. Much of that is due to the nature of my current job (I'm a Building Manager), but also I've been known to be a workaholic in general. This morning I am reminded that I do need to slow down and firmly plant each step I take and allow God to direct my path. Have a great day my brothers!

I need to do better at listening. My prayers pretty much all sound the same every time I pray. Honestly it feels kind of annoying at times to be saying the same things over and over again. However, I know those things need to be said. Listening is harder. Hearing God is hard. The other day my wife and I had yet another argument. I was sitting on the floor trying to pray. I looked up at my dresser. I have a large cross with 1st Corinthians 13 (the love chapter) on it. The word “love” is large on the cross beam. It seemed to leap off the cross. It seemed to be larger than it actually is. Idk how else to describe it. Hanging on the wall behind it are phrases to live by in a cheap frame. The first line says “honorable in conduct”. There are other phrases, but that one along with “love” seemed to jump right off into my face. They didn’t literally do that, but it was crystal clear God was reminding me that I need to love my wife and to treat her better. I needed to apologize. After several seconds (minutes?) I finally got the message and went to her to apologize. It was absolutely clear that God was talking to me. I pray that I can hear Him clearly like that on a more regular basis.

Early morning is my time read, pray and have time with God. Much easier now that I’m retired. Anytime during the day I need to escape I’ll go to God and unburden my soul and listen for His word. We each have our routine of what works for each of us. The main thing is to have time with God. Love you Jesus! 🤍🤎💛💚

I think that’s so important to take everything one step at a time with one prayer at a time. No future reading just in the moment right now with God invited into each moment. The world is one busy place and the tempo is very fast. I must slow things down and remain very aware of what my thoughts are doing so they don’t get carried away. If they do get carried away and I find myself in worry mode once that realization happens I must take time to go pray as soon as possible. Time to pump the brakes and turn those thoughts over to God. In turning them over I find calm and peace. I find the ability to overcome whatever is going on. I get grounded in gratitude that God is my savior and literally everyone’s savior simultaneously. So God as today gets going and gets busy keep my focus on you. Keep me aware of what I am thinking at all times as I act as a composer of my thoughts. Observing and then directing them. Thank you for leading me God. Without your guidance I wouldn’t have the power of prayer and meditation. May I continue my work at developing those with your guidance. I love you God amen 🙏

I echo the feeling of my mind so preoccupied with the stresses of work these days … best nights I sleep are the ones I have my Bible study and recovery meetings - when I am most connected to Him. All other nights even on weekends my brain is racing with work worries and anxieties. I needed to read EXACTLY these messages to first know not alone (thanks brothers) and as a reminder to always keep bringing EVERYTHING to God. I n EE to get rid of my worries, fears and mostly my pride and ego in knowing I don’t always have things under control and it’s especially OK to bring Him in! Peace brothers!

I’m definitely seeking him, start my day every morning with devotions and prayer. Lately though my mind has been so busy, work has been really tough and has required a lot of my time and mental energy. It’s been hard to turn work off in my head. I love my time in the morning and before bed that I spend with GOD and his word but often I find my mind won’t turn off of work which hinders my time with GOD. On the days I can turn my mind off from work, I can feel GOD’s presence and it’s amazing. The other days not so much. It’s a real struggle right now.

For me I try to have to have a brief quite time first thing in the morning, generally when the cat crawls up into my lap. One he gets settled into the position and I’m setting there petting him I quietly ask God to talk to me and many times him does. The other time is when I lay my head on the pillow as I start to drift off off I invite him to talk to me during the night inviting him to have control of my dreams and every thought during the night. Helps by keeping my away from things they should not be focusing on. Of course if I feel prompted to stop a listen to Him throughout the day I do as well.

Yes of course Amen! Listen to Him, for me to be able to hear God, it means I have to slow down! For at least an hour every day-making time to sit quietly in His presence-some guided prayer or meditation, my journal…this is when I hear from him the most! The you Version Bible app has a really good prayer feature inside it with music for meditation: it is helping me usher in His presence and hear His voice lately! Strength and courage brothers! Amen
