Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary. ~ St. Francis of Assisi

A few years ago I heard a message by Pastor Tony Evans where he talked about making God visible. We look around in the created world around us and we see God’s fingerprints in everything. All we have to do is seek Him and we will find Him. Also, we have the opportunity of each day to make God visible in our lives and to others. We tell our story of God in our lives by how we live, how we make Him visible to others. Often that doesn’t involve words, just actions. People watch us all the time and when we demonstrate Godliness in our lives, they see our story. When we reach out and touch, like Jesus did to the leper (Matthew 8), we make God visible. When we give a cup of cold water to quench another’s thirst, we make God visible. We have many opportunities each day to make Him visible to others, to tell our story by giving His grace and love to them. Each of us becomes a net caster. Let’s keep that in mind as we envision casting our nets today.

The sobriety program that saved my life is very clear in the 12th and final step… To carry the message to the next who still suffers. The correlation between a 12 step program, and Jesus’s teachings, is no coincidence. Jesus’s disciples, their “demons”, and the many examples of Him healing others “possessed”, is also no coincidence… We are not called to be merely recipients or vessels of God’s love. We are instead called to be channels of His love, a filterless channel from which Gods love and Grace flows effortlessly through us to others who He places in our paths each day, free of character defects that muddy those waters of healing. We are told to “be the salt” of the Earth. In those days, that is referring to us being willing to be open and honest of our whole story of Gods Grace for us, so others may relate to our many flaws and failures. We are not to put on a show of purity and perfection like so many of us do on social media and towards other people. To be the “salt”, is to be flavored. To be flawed. To be honest. In doing this, others can see that if God Loves and has saved us from our pasts, they too can find His Love and Grace inside of them. That, is a net that can attract many “fish”. That, is a net worth casting. A pool of water becomes stale and stagnant… a channel is forever fresh and satisfying. 🙏🏻

Through our words and actions let us be the "salt of the earth" and "light of the world". Praise Jesus!

Let us all be an example what God wants us to be by our words, works and actions. Amen 🙏. Have a blessed day!

Let us follow the one that has given us all! I can think of no one better to follow. As He has given to us, let us give to others. Love you Jesus! 🧡🤎💚💙
206/365: A Good Day For Fishing
As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,”Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” ~ Mark 1: 16-17
Just as Jesus called His disciples to start the march... he's calling you to keep it going. The net has been passed from generation to generation and now rests in your hands.
Will you cast your net today? Will you be the living representative of Christ in this world... today? All you have to do is throw the net.
GO DEEPER: 1 Peter 3:15-16
Next Step: Don't try to fish like anyone else... be yourself. Just throw the net by sharing your story of God in your life.
