I saw this cartoon one time, and I don’t remember the characters, but they both were in heaven. St. Peter told the two guys that they only have room for one more person in heaven. So in order to choose who comes into heaven, you must choose who is the most humble. Thank God this isn’t the reality of the gospel. For by grace we have been saved. And we don’t have to choose because our salvation is already secured.

The greatest amongst us, is whoever’s most selflessly servant to others. Let that sink in while assessing your current roles and relationships in life. No matter how much progress we make in our spiritual journey to grow closer to God, there is always work to be done, because we are constantly blessed with meeting God’s children. Like a garden, our relationships must be regularly walked, assessed, and weeds removed while the plants need watered. We are called to be constantly watering our relationships, lest they wither and die. We are called to constantly pull the weeds of sin in our thoughts, words, and actions lest they overshadow our relationships and kill them. There is only one who did this perfectly, and the amazing news is that He tells us that no matter how baron and overgrown our garden is, He is excited to help us get to work in fixing it. He tells us that if we ask, He will place Master Gardners in our life to help show us the way. He also tells us, to not look for the weeds in other’s gardens, but instead to get on our knees, and focus on our own. And, once we have our gardens in order, go help our neighbor when asked to get to work in theirs as well. Amen 🙏🏻

Wow Marv, what a story. That had to been hard to live there for that long knowing the situation, but, you keep the faith and pray for him. A testimony of what God can and will do if you believe and trust in him. And yes, although it is really hard not to retaliate, take the high road and pray about the situation. Have a blessed day brothers. 🙏🤙.

Jesse, I had a neighbor who hated me with a passion. He often cussed me out, waved at me every time I saw him with the one finger salute, tried to sue me, all because we built our house on a lot we owned and the property line demonstrated that he had landscaped over the line by 15 feet. His landscape had to be part of our driveway. He was a thorn in my side for several years. But, Jesus kept reminding me that He loved that man as much as He loved me and kept telling me to just pray for Him. So, I did that every time I saw him and thought about him. He was the subject of many prayers on my behalf. Not long ago, this man came to know Jesus and now speaks about the transformative power of faith in Jesus. He was one instance where I got to see results of my prayers. You did the right thing, you prayed instead of swung a fist. Keep it up. Someday, those prayers will produce fruit that you never expected. God bless you and all the brothers who visit this site.

Be humble, love God, love others. You will always come out ahead. It’s hard to be humble at times, but it’s always the right approach. Love you Jesus! 💚🤍💙❤️

I literally just dealt with this at my job. A gentleman I work with has had some words with me and I did raise my voice and cuss in return (nothing personal) just anger. However, the next day I humbled myself and approached to apologize for my part and in return he personally attacked me and cursed me out. I replied to have a good day and continued to curse me out. This is a battle I struggle with, because my old self would've just started swinging if disrespected or personally attacked. Instead I walked away and immediately prayed for him. Because his reaction was so out of left field, he like most of us must be dealing with personal issues. My marriage is in turmoil or as I like to say, it's a miracle in the making. So my stress levels are high, but instead of returning to my old ways and fist fight someone 20 years older than me (I'm 38) I simply humble myself and see the person through God's eyes. (well I attempt too) I can tell you this, pride was something I struggled with and still struggle with, but being humble keeps my conscious clear. Take the high road gentleman and God will reward you. God bless you all

I love that statement - we are bowing before our Creator our God
203/365: Get Down to Find Your Crown
For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
~ Psalm 149:4
When pride is set aside and you choose to become second to God, it's easier to win the day.
We aren't talking about weakness or being someone else's punching bag. We are talking about bowing your heart before God - the creator of YOUR universe.
This life is between you and God. Start there.
