We humans tend to run into each other often. Then play the blame game of its your fault x y z. Which only adds to stress and tension. Not only that, but can be damaging to our relationships. God is in control - period and end of story. Everyday we can choose to let go and let God or try to manage His things for Him. I know I was the guy trying to manage all things and people and not for the betterment of anyone but myself. Why did I do this, because I wasn't turning anything over to God. So I must recognize my human frailty and go to Him to he relieved of this stress and even more importantly be of service to others. That service to others is where the rays of JOY shine through and ignite my passion for Christ. I have remembered this many times in my life in hardship but would always go back Brandon's got command when thing got good. Things have been good for awhile now and man how did I miss this, other than knowing if I hadn't missed this I probably wouldn't appreciate it on the level I do today. God is good my fellows and He will always be there to lift you up and keep you strong when you are meek.

God has never failed to answer me in times of great worry and fear, I’ve only ever failed to call out to Him. If I run out of gas, stranded on the side of the road, it’s not the gas station’s fault but mine for forgetting to go there. And, my answer is still to go there, to get me off the side of the road.

When I am in distress or worried, I use this "breath prayer" (first line deep breath in, next line breathe out. repeat)
Jesus Christ
You are in control
I am weak
You are strong
I lay this burden
At the foot of your cross
(repeat as needed)
You can create one that has meaning for you and says what you need it to say. Try it!
161/365: When The Stress Gets Real
I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me. ~Psalm 120:1
God is faithful to bless us with beautiful things. He is also faithful to help us through the hard, hurtful, and stressful times.
You wouldn't be human if you didn't experience hard times. Take heart! The Christian life gives us a stress reliever - it's our open communication with God through His spirit and his promises to hear our prayers.
