57/365: Pushing Away the Fear

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. ~ Psalm 63: 3-4

As we chase our dreams and live our lives, we experience good days and rough days.

Evil exists to shut down God's spirit, distract you from the mission, and hold you in chains of uncertainty.

When the negative voice of hesitation, procrastination, or doubt whispers in your ear, push back with praise and gratitude for God's gift of freedom.

Perfect love, we know, casteth out fear [1 John 4:18]. But so do several other things — ignorance, alcohol, passion, presumption, and stupidity. It is very desirable that we should all advance to that perfection of love in which we shall fear no longer; but it is very undesirable, until we have reached that stage, that we should allow any inferior agent to cast out our fear.

As men we are faced with fear, I'm sometimes in a place that makes me pretend to be strong yet fear still looms on me. Fear to start, fear on what the future holds, fear to fall short of GOD's glory yet JESUS reminds us not to be afraid. I'm encouraged by today's reading and testimonies to take up my mantle and not to be afraid anymore. Thank you gentlemen for the encouragement

I've found that the more I pray and talk to God all day long, the better my day is. When this has finally become habit and an automatic process in my life, I have more peace, and things seem to work out effortlessly. Fear is the opposite of faith. My worry is a form of fear. Even when I think I am not afraid, it is there. Conditioning myself to accept the Holy Spirit is the solution for me. Confidence in Christ along with trust. I must continue to maintain my spiritual significance in my life. Prayer works. My place in life, even to still be alive, is because of the prayers for me. I firmly believe this. God's plan and His will has seen to this as well. Intertwined through free will, trials, convictions of heart and attitude synergistically because of God's grace, mercy, and love directs me to seek God's will. For this, I remain grateful.

Fear is a horrible feeling it brings doubt and uncertainty But God designed us to trust in him . Satan's goal is for us to not trust God . If we look at the things the enemy has for us for me has only been pain and disappointment and whe n I rely on God he has always brought joy and peace into my life . I have over come along if fears that I allowed in my life as a child through christ Jesus . Everyday is a learning experience some good some not so good but God walks with me every step of the way.

Fear can be overwhelming and paralyzing. God is overpowering, enabling, loving, and ready to help us through any fears we have. He will be with us no matter what the situation. Be paralyzed, or run to His open arms. Love you Jesus! 🤍🧡🤎💛

It doesn't matter how you start the race but it's about how you finish the race. I have a past that I wish I didn't, but I'm glad I did have that past because it made me into the Man I am today! We walk by Faith, not by sight. Even when I feel like quitting I remember that the pain and fear that I am going through is for a purpose. It is to help others going through the same pain. I will Never give up, I'm going to be fighting for this blessed life today!

I have dealt with fear off and on since I was a child. I went through a period of years as a kid where I didn’t have hardly any fear. Climbing tall trees, jumping my bike off ramps that would have given my mom a heart attack. I would like to have that freedom again. Now, my wife and I are going to move to another city that has more to offer and basically start over finding new jobs and a place to live. I’m almost 56 and I’ve been at the same job for 29 years, in this house for 19, and in this city since 1982. That has created fear and anxiety and I just want to be able to go with the flow and not worry if things are going to work out. I just want to “ jump those ramps” again, especially since we don’t have enough savings where one of us could not work for a short time.

Good morning men of God! like many I grew up in an environment that was always dangerous, scary, uncertain and volatile. The details don't matter but now at 50 two things are obvious. One, the devil and generational curses had my family bound. Two God has always had me in the palm of His hand. I say all that to say yes sometimes fear, disappointment, anger and the like creep back in. However God always reminds me to look back at the "furnaces" that He's held me in. The "seas" He's parted, the manna He's provided and a thousand other battles He has fought for me. as a child all I ever wanted was for someone to love me and to stay. Everyone walked out and love wasn't there either. BUT GOD I know now always loved me and never left! All that makes the whispers and sometimes screams in my mind disappear or at least drowns them out. The more intimate I get with God the more I trust and KNOW I have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about. I don't want to sound prideful or full of ego because it's all God but sometimes I feel like David facing Goliath when fear comes in. Who is this uncircumcised philistine that dares to stand against a son of the living God! without Jesus I'm a weak little boy that's afraid of the dark and everything and everyone. I will share this in closing and may it bless and encourage you. I asked God "who am I to you Lord?" His reply was "you are my Joseph" I am His and so are you! Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might! BLESSINGS

Our God is an AWESOME God! He reigns from Heaven above. He is all knowing, all seeing, all powerful, and He is everywhere. There are no other gods. There is NONE like Him. He is wonderful, majestic, holy, and good. He has no beginning and no end. He is the great I AM! He is full of mercy and grace. May we always remember this truth and turn from our sinful ways. May we always remember that He loves us and wants a close, personal relationship with us. He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us. He has promised this in His word and He cannot lie. It is IMPOSSIBLE!

Fear is a nasty nasty thing. Right up there with deceit in the enemies arsenal to commit spiritual warfare against us. The only thing I have found to keep the anxiety and fear at a distance is constant talk with God all day long. Giving Him praise and thanks for every tiny little thing each day and asking Him what's my role here when life gets to be very challenging. I still get anxiety because I'm human but instead of it being my anxiety like it once was and it was almost a defining part of me it is just the anxiety and it gets pushed back by training my mind to become keenly aware of what am I thinking about all the time. Fear and anxiety are much easier to halt when they first pop up before they have time to get going and build momentum. Spending time in meditation on God's light and training myself to recognize thought drift in meditation then gently correcting it back to God's light taught me and trained my mind to be very aware of negative thought drift all the time. So when it occurs outside of meditation I can say God my mind is drifting help me to refocus on your light and being intentional with this moment to serve you and others. That's how I turned my anxiety into just anxiety. I don't own that anymore and it can be let go of. For that freedom, I am so thankful! You save me everyday God, I love you amen 🙏

I’ll pray to God today to share my anxiety and ask he gives me strength and wisdom. This verse helps me recenter from Colossians 3:15. 15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Jesus gave his life so that we could live in Freedom from the chains the bind. We have to choose to walk in that freedom and victory. I don’t do it perfectly, but when I do it makes this life worth living!! It is a choice!

Pretty much every day I fight off fear, anxiety and depression thanks to things that happened in my past. Satan tries to bring up thoughts of how I failed to stand up to my brothers and stop their there abuse, his after losing dad, my fiancé and my first job after college all within a couple weeks that I basically turned my back on God for a time and how during that time that I let my gambling and porn addictions take control of me. He tries to remind me of howling it took me to overcome my porn addiction and how God can’t love me become of all the times I promised God I would stop but then turned right back. However I have learned in the last few months that when Satan tries to use that fear, anxiety and depression against me that I can stand up to him, look him in the eye and remind him that I am a Child of the Most High God that is cleansed by the blood of Jesus and then he flees in fear, trembling at the name of Jesus and the sight of the cleansing blood upon me.
