242/365: Looking For The Bright Spots

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18

Life is built to be a celebration of your journey through God's creation.

God's men are built to not only survive, but flourish. How we handle ourselves through adversity is our witness to God in us and through us.

We don't chase the shadows, we look for the bright spots!

Men, If this isn't your life verse, maybe you can adopt it as a place holder until you pick one.

GO DEEPER: Psalm 16: 5-11

Next Step: Dig into Holy Scripture and find the encouragement which takes you through the low spots and celebrates the high spots of life. Then commit that scripture to your heart. Live it out.

There is so many good strengthing versus in the Bible. it's very hard to choose. Basic instructions before leaving Earth.

For me, I need the lows far more than the highs to continue to grow in my relationship and humility and gratitude with God. The highs of life are more gratifying and fulfilling the longer I’ve been consistently pursuing relationship with Jesus, it’s become easier and easier each day to pause and find gratitude when I get in a funk. But what’s truly amazing and paradoxical to me, is how grateful I’ve become for what I once would see as a “low”, or a “failure”. Getting told no, I now see as necessary for some form of growth. Things not working out the way I though they should, I now see as a redirection from God Himself. Each day presents challenges, or “tests” to be passed or failed, but in a sense of how well I respond to these tests is the determining factor of pass/fail. As a child I got to the place I resented or even skipped certain classes because instead of trying harder to pass the tests or assignments, I would continue to tell myself the class wasn’t necessary or valid for my life and pursuits. God’s will, is what it is, and is far better for me and all those I love than whatever my will would be, because He’s got the master plan and I only see a tiny fraction of it. Surrender to His will, adapt and adjust, look for the lesson and silver lining, focus that all things are what they are, and request His will be done and for the power to carry out my tiny piece of it each day. This has been the recipe for extreme peace and serenity in my life 🙏🏻

Amen to that verse! Gratitude for everything God gives us from the awesome to the hardships. All of it across the spectrum is perfectly orchestrated in a way we will never fully understand but it is perfect for each of us. Seasons of pruning and hardship seasons of ripe fruit and abundance. They all work together with each other in Gods will for each of us. It’s easy to fall back into God when the going is tough but something I know I used to do is once it got to abundance well I wasn’t giving credit to God anymore. Nope my arrogance would return and I was in charge and did it all myself. Like an insecure boy needing to tell everyone how great I was instead of showing through discipline and dedication to God how great I am. That feeling of greatness comes straight from God because I trust Him with all things now. It makes the good times truly soar when I’m giving all the gratitude over to God and letting go of self. God thank you for teaching me something new everyday. May I always stay humble and hungry for your word and your guidance through others and events in my life. May my actions light the dark for others to see this path pulling the gentle yoke of faith in You God. I love you God amen 🙏

Each of us have our walk through life. The old saying “life is what you make of it” can ring very true for those of us that share our walk with Jesus as our Lord and Master. At least if we choose to listen and obey Him no matter what comes our way we have his love and reassurance that everything will come together with us on top. The question is do you walk your walk letting the enemy keep you in the dark forbidding places or do you find light, happiness and joy in Christ no matter what comes our way. I know a lot of times as I relate the story of my life it may sound like I feel down much of the time but yet each and every day I find some reason to rejoice in the Lord and what he does for me. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice.

Good morning my brothers. My cherished verse in the word is "He sticketh closer than a brother". It is so reassuring to know that the light of his love and mercy is always so close. May our loving God be with you through out your journey today. Amen

I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart. Wait I say on the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14
