On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

For me the house I’d built was held up with paint and nails. It may have looked good from the street, but as anyone would approach they could see all the cracks and false narratives… The world doesn’t teach us proper character building techniques. The World teaches us all sorts of terrible MacGyver techniques and short cuts, how to apply bandaids to axe wounds we’ve imposed on others. The World, for the most part, is a slum of run down and decrepit houses. Why I always chose to learn things on my own, with little or no guidance, I’m not sure. What I do know, Jesus is and will always be taking applications. He was a carpenter, that’s no coincidence here. He will teach us how to properly build a new home on solid relationships, solid character traits, and solid judgement. He will help us rebuild the relationships in our lives by allowing us the strength and courage to do our part, the grace to forgive others for their parts, and the stamina to keep it up for the rest of our worldly lives. I have every till I will ever need in Christ Jesus, amen 🙏🏻

I have to constantly check myself in this area asking myself am I doing this for Gods glory or just trying to make myself look good in front of others. Sometimes I don’t like what I see and have to make a correction, if I don’t God will correct me because he knows my heart.

Unless your life is built on the solid foundation of Christ, it’s just on sinking sand. Same with your home. Love you Jesus! 🤎💛🤍💜

I don't know about anyone else but I have built plenty of metaphorical homes on top of land fills. Relationships that just sink over time as the ground below cannot hold the weight of the relationship. I am seeing firsthand how when relationships - both friendships and romantic are built on God's mighty foundation just how powerful they are. Thank you God for teaching me this lesson. Thank you for allowing me to flop like a fish out of water in order to learn this lesson and it be cemented just like the mighty foundation you make. 🙏

For many years I did life how I wanted. AddictIon to porn and all types of sexual sin. When my life started to fall apart I cried out to God, he saved me my family is now stronger than ever because the Lord is building the house. Thank you Jesus, a relationship with you changed everything.
164/365: God Builds Good Houses
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. ~ Psalm 127: 1
It doesn't matter how noble your intentions may be - if God isn't the motivation or the foundation of your life - it's just like an empty house. Pretty on the outside... vacant on the inside.
Have you said, "yes" to God? Then move-in to your house of faith and make it permanent... you are no longer a visitor - you are home.
